We spontaneously moved to the Hitlon after the other hotel was an absolute flop. We received a very friendly welcome and were able to drop off our suitcases in the evening before the room was ready. The gym is more than adequately equipped and the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. The freshly prepared omelettes were also very tasty. I would definitely choose this hotel again. MANY THANKS for saving our weekend :-
A truly awful experience that ended with us being transferred to another hotel. We checked in quite late after leaving our bags earlier. Given keys to our room 425 with no mention of any issue. We opened the door to our room to be greeted by the overwhelmingly strong, nausea inducing smell of sewage! This was not just a slight smell but literally eyewatering. We checked the bathroom but this smelt completely normal and nothing in the toilet. Spoke to management who were exceptionally rude especially a manager called Amanda. We were basically told 'we have no more rooms, I'll refund and you leave. Find another hotel room elsewhere.' I was exceptionally upset as you can imagine but managed to talk to another manager who begrudgingly agreed to try to find us a room at another Hilton property. The process from getting the keys to our stinking room to leaving Hilton London Euston took around 1 1/2 hours! I have never experienced anything like this before. To offer a room to guests that clearly has a major environmental health issue and to employ staff with such awful customer service skills, is truly shocking. Please avoid this hotel at all costs.
Truly great Victorian hotel in the heart of London. Location is amazing, everything is close by. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Staff was amazing, from the check in, through the bar, over breakfast and check out at the end. Keep up the good work! Thank you for a great experience in London.Rooms: 5/5
Our room was very small and basic, could have done with a refurb but it was clean and perfectly acceptable. Food and bar were great, the staff were very gracious and efficient.Rooms: 3/5
Reviews were bad for the hotel so i was skeptic but i think it is a decent hotel. Breakfast is also decent. The hotel staff is helpful, rooms were clean and regular service made a week’s stay at the hotel very comfortable. Nearby activities: Based on londons commite the location is pretty good. Hotel is close to euston tube station. I used to walk to kings cross from here and it is a nice 20-25min walk. Walkability: Close the tube and bus station. Decent restaurants near by Bus in front of hotel to get to trafalgar sqaure
The gentleman in reception was not particularly friendly, rest of the staff are generally welcoming, the breakfast was good, loads of choices, standard rooms are small, bathroom is specious, located in center of London, walking distance from Euston Station, Metro, British Museum. Rooms: General Rooms are tiny but bathroom is spacious Nearby activities: Centrally located, well connected Safety: Safe Walkability: Yes Food & drinks: Standard Breakfast was good
There is no Free Wifi!!! First, the staff is 10/10. Everyone is very helpful and great at their job. We got in hours before our check in time and the front desk was able to provide 2/3 rooms we needed. Now the rooms, need a little work. I got a single occupancy twin bed with no refrigerator. Most hotels have USB ports directly in the walls these days and some signage regarding all the light switches in the room would be appreciated. They do have an ironing board w/ iron, safe, hair dryer, and great body lotion and soap. My room also has a writing desk and chair, with armoire for my clothes. There is a TV, however thier provider is direct TV so there's never any signal. The bathrooms look like the only thing that's been updated. Nice large round mirror with 2 ring light options. The shower is updated, but the water pressure is low. read some reviews saying it's a historic hotel. There's a way to do that and not look dated. The worst is there is no free wifi as a guest. You have to be an honors member or you have to pay for a wifi pass. If there was a free wifi code for guests usually in your key pad booklet it was not pointed out or explained upon check in. Breakfast was great. There were a lovely array of pastries and a spread of a traditional English Breakfast. The hallways are not asthetic either. There are obvious missing pictures on the walls, cleaning carts around every corner, electricians doing work. All in all, this is not a bad hotel, but it's not a great one either. It's a standard no frills hotel, but I don't think it's budget friendly for the accommodations. It is about a a block away from the trains and that may be it's appeal.
Stayed here with work for 3 weeks. Overall the hotel was good. My room was clean and well stocked. The reception staff and duty managers were very friendly and helpful as were the staff at breakfast. The quality of breakfast was also very good. I wasn't happy with the service at the main bar. Applying a service charge of £3.33 on to a round of drinks 4 without asking is unacceptable, particularly when the service was poor in the first place. I told the receptionist who said that they couldn't refund me the service charge there and then, so they offered me a free drink instead, however I wasn't able to use this as I checked out the following morning. It left a bit of a bitter taste to an overall decent stay. I know some of my colleagues had issues with noise from street level and air conditioning failing, but I didn't suffer with these issues.
The room is very small but well equip hair dryer, iron, iron board, electric kettle, tv. The service mine of the reception could be improved. The staff at the breakfast place is nice. The location is good.Rooms: 3/5
We stayed in a family room on the 4th floor and had a great experience. Very clean and comfortable room and honestly one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in a while. The check-in process was efficient and friendly and the breakfast each day was very filling. The bar was a really nice and relaxed atmosphere. For the price and location I felt like we got a really solid deal.
