We had our wedding reception in the private function room upstairs. It seated 26 of us comfortably. There were 3 small children running around and 2 other babies. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Everyone single one of our guests said how amazing the food was. Dietary restrictions: They don't have many vegan options but are very accommodating, adapting recipes on the menu. Plus it is a seafood restaurant after all. Kid-friendliness: Wonderful
Brilliant food!!!! What a lovely cosy restaurant. Staff are lovely and very helpful. I had the fried oysters to start and my wife the Calamari and prawns. Both absolutely lovely. My wife said the best Calamari she has had. For main I had the mixed Seaford pasta, my wife the half lobster pasta both were really really tasty. Ignore the comments on not being fresh because it absolutely is !!! For dessert, the Nutella and nut tart, again amazing, first time here but will not be the last!!!
It's our first year anniversary on the 28.04.24 been married for 12 months we took a train into Liverpool and headed off to the, Italian Club Fish Restaurant in Bold street Liverpool, were our table for two was booked, I must say the food we both had was just amazing, so lovely, and the service from all the staff was a credit to the restaurant. What a lovely place. Took a chance on a walk in and made the right decision. Had the Carlingford oysters to start with a house white wine, and then one of the specials of the day: Halibut with garlic spuds and chilli samphire. Not disappointed... Tiramisu to finish home made. Superb.Food: 5/5
It all started so well. Welcomed by polite staff. Seated before time. A good list of specials. We shared 6 oysters with Prosecco, perfectly fresh and not too big, followed by tuna tartar, again fresh and nicely flavoured. Then the mains, I had tagliatelle with prawns, the pasta was overdone and all stuck together, prawns were delicious though. My partner had the special Red Snapper risotto. The fish was actually slightly burnt, and the risotto was overdone. There were also some very chewy strips of squid, not really edible. The sauce flavour was too bitter. Sides of Samphire, too soft and overdone, and fries slightly shrivelled. I think the food was overcooked and left waiting. Finally, we had vanilla ice cream, a shot of expresso and Amiretto, lovely, but you can't really mess this up. Staff throughout were great. We complained about the risotto, and it was removed from the bill, and we were given a free glass of wine.
The food overall is great, however, the seafood can better fresher. We can smell some of the clam. The prawn meat is not fresh, we just can tell. Overall it’s not so bad.Food: 4/5
Stumbled across this gem of a restaurant in the heart of liverpool. Welcomed in by kind and accommodating staff. Started with 6 oysters and Prosecco- the fresh oysters were excellent. Next my father had the fritto misto - which he thoroughly enjoyed, although he said he could have done without the chips! but he’s weird like that. I had the cioppino - very filling and great flavour with tonnes of sea food. Wine was also delicious! Would definitely come again to try more dishes and would recommend to any fish lovers out on the streets of liverpool!
Top class. We had a fantastic lunch here. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. But best of all, the food was delicious. I had the Sea bass and it was really exceptional, so fresh and cooked to perfection. Washed down with a yummy house white wine. Dietary requirements well catered for. Being Gluten and dairy free I was well looked after. Won't be long before I return as need to try their Gluten free pasta! Highly recommended.
Loved our visit here! Quaint little restaurant in the heart of Liverpool, well-decorated and spacious inside. The dishes themselves are wonderful, using fresh fish and seafood, punching flavour and are all well-presented. The service is also brilliant, attentive, inviting and welcoming. Really good choice of wines too. Cannot recommend enough for an intimate or special evening!
A cosy place at the top of bold street, perfect if you’re wanting pasta and seafood. Their platters and ciopinnos are so good. Everything is full of flavour but not too heavy. They can run out of things fresh oysters etc so just be careful if you go a bit later on that some of the fresher/ special stuff may have been sold out.
