The Brink

About

The Brink is a trailblazing recovery social enterprise delivering fresh life style choices; revolutionising how we eat, drink and play

Story

Established in 2011, The Brink is the UK’s first dry bar and restaurant located in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. It is renowned for serving an imaginative array of non-alcoholic beverages, as well as locally sourced fresh food at an affordable price.
Popular amongst the recovery community, students, families and the general public alike, the Parr Street venue is often referred to as a thriving social hub, as it provides an inviting space for everyone of all walks in life.
The Brink often showcases an array of music, arts, and lifestyle events on a regular basis. From music gigs, comedy shows, guitar lessons, health workshops and fairs – the venue hosts an eclectic mix of live entertainment.
As Action on Addition’s flagship social enterprise, all The Brink’s profits go directly back into the community to fund support for those who have suffered through alcoholism and addiction. The venue is staffed by people who have had problems with alcohol in the past; providing those in recovery with an opportunity to re-enter the workforce.
The recovery side of things is what makes The Brink unique - however it is the venue’s fresh and novel offerings that shape it as a good all-rounder.

Found this place while wandering around looking for somewhere to eat and this did not disappoint! The portions were incredibly generous and all of the food was cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly and the cafe contributes to a good cause which is always a plus!

It's 'the place' to eat! Classic English breakfast was flawless and delicious. Serving was absolutly huge. The Staff were very friendly and helpful for me, as it is my first time in Liverpool. If you want to eat something tasty and chat with friendly people you must visit The Brink

Nice food and drinks, but also as we found, a place for helping people in needFood: 5/5
This is one of the most amazing cafe/restaurants I've ever been to. It has amazing food, great music and non-alcohol cocktails to die for. And, it is a place for people in recovery i.e. alcoholics looking for somewhere cool to hang out and I've never seen anything like it. If you're in Liverpool go and eat something there. I just had a Thai curry there and it was better than anything I've had in years...and you don't need to have anything to do with addiction or recovery to appreciate it. I was in Liverpool for about 4 days and I went to the Brink each day to eat, drink, appreciate the awesome sounds and work on my laptop. I can't recommend it highly enough. The photos below were added in 2019 and are of wooden panels on their walls.
