Story

The Horseshoe Inn is a family run establishment set in the peace and tranquillity of Levisham village within the North York Moors National Park, about 2 miles from the A169 Whitby to Pickering road. An idyllic destination for a relaxing country break or meal.

Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, we offer a range of comfortable guest accommodation. Attractions such as Dalby Forest and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway are on the doorstop.

Since 2007 it has been owned by brothers Charles and Toby Wood who are enthusiastically involved in the day to day running of the pub as your host and chef. Charles and Toby give their guests a warm reception by providing great service and high quality food and drink in comfortable surroundings.

Fantastic 👌 Lovely friendly reception, we hadn't booked but were immediately accommodated. Food was excellent, well worth the money. Brilliant place! 💖

Didn't stay here as we were renting a cottage in the village, however we came here for 3 evening meals plus one night came just for dessert, the staff are amazing, service was exemplary, and the food was just wonderful. We are thinking of coming back to stay in the pub for a few days early next year just to sample everything about this lovely establishment

Stayed here in one of the stable rooms outside in a newly built small block. Beautiful setting and we had our own outside space with table and chairs too. Perfect for a glass of wine after walking all day! The food is truly outstanding. I have an egg allergy and a veggie too. I am difficult to cater for, but it really was not a problem for the Chef! I had a choice of food during he evening and they were very careful with my food too so I didnt have to worry too much. The breakfast was gorgeous, fresh fruits, cereals, cooked breakfast, plenty of fresh coffee and tea, lots of choice. The bar is well equipped. They do an excellent choice of Gin and serve it is the goldfish like glasses!! We cannot praise this place enough. ALL of the staff were wonderful, polite and always had a smile! Its truly amazing and will we return?...Yes, defintely!

Food, staff and atmosphere are all excellent. Been many times and never been disappointed. Food is plentiful and really well cooked and presented.
