I would not give this place any stars at all, but had to press on 1 star to enable me to leave this report. I received shocking service when I ordered a cup of green tea at the bar. First shock was the price at £2.95 which probably cost them about 20p to make. So, after I paid my money I stood at the bar for about 5 minutes & then had to ask where my tea was. I was told my a barmaid it would only be a minute and they'd bring it to me if I sat down. So, I sat down & after 15 minutes had to ask again, but this time to a man who told me in a stern, arrogant way that they were busy & it would come to me in a minute! No apology at all. Big mistake, basic customer care that is. So, I sat down again & after 5 minutes went up to the actual tea making service area what had happened to my tea & if it was going to be any longer I would have an orange juice instead. The young girl I spoke to was very nice, understanding & apologetic, but then that same man piped up & told me in his rude, patronising manner that it was been put on my table at that moment in time. Again, no apology when he had the opportunity to. Not rocket science, basic manners to treat clients with respect. I was furious about the very bad service & attitude, thinking they've got a licence to speak & treat people however they want to, in a completely disrespectful way. I used to work in the catering industry many years ago & if I spoke to clients how he did, with inferior service, I would have been sacked. That man needs to go on a customer care course & establish a proper, efficient way of running the business as they are clueless in these issues. Thanks for reading this. It is all the truth.

Always a warm welcome excellent beers well kept . Fantastic food (best to book to save dissapointment) . Would give it ten stars if that were possible .

My husband and I went for a meal last Tuesday night. I ordered the ravioli, while my husband had a meat dish. Although what small amount of food we was served with was nice, the amount on the plate was smaller then a child's portion. I complained to both the waitress and bar staff but it fell on deaf ears. We both came away still hungry. Hence to say we will not be returning. Very poor value for money.

Our first visit, not a good experience. Firstly only 3 slices of bread, and 4 of us. Its the worst prawn cocktail we have ever had! Should have had brown bread and butter with it. Struggled to choose off the menu and what we had we did not enjoy. They certainly know how to charge for the house wine!! Will definitely not be returning and wont recommend either.
