A lovely family run pub, lovely food and very comfortable. The beer garden is wonderful in the summer. The landlord is brilliant.

Best pub in Wivenhoe if it was 40 years ago... Seriously. This place is like a brilliant time warp. I'm surprised you can't smoke inside. I love it. Ordered a breakfast and was asked if I wanted my tomatoes 'fresh or tinned'. I'm like 'tinned all the way, sweetheart'. Boss.
