"The Hero of Maida is a traditional Victorian pub with a courtyard garden and a dining room on the first floor. We serve independent beers from family-run breweries, good wines, and French-influenced a la carte menu. Tucked away on the top floor are elegant spaces for private dining and events. We are winners of 'Food-led Pubs of the Year' at this year's Restaurant Magazine R200 Awards. You can find us a short walking distance from Warwick Avenue and Maida Vale tube stations."

Nice looking pub from the outside. Haven't been inside cant wait for the thing to bec...
Great pub. Lovely decor. Very good food. Don't try to do too much. Good drinks. Wine list better than you'd expect. Service a bit slow maybe but fine - they have a lot of covers. Their steak night and Sunday roasts are great.
Good service. Good food. Menu changes so always something new to try but remains reliably satisfying. Great wine list. Take your glasses though, low level mood lighting and very small print on the menu can lead to culinary surprises! Oh.. and if it says fully booked on the website. Email for a table. The website doesn't work.
We had our wedding reception in the Hero of Maida in October and I cannot express how amazing all the staff were. We had the perfect day, everything went seamlessly. The food was fantastic, the staff were so kind and helpful and the pub was just beautiful. Our guests loved it. Thank you for making our day so special :
Highly recommended! We had our corporate Christmas party in one of their private rooms and it was excellent! Thank you for making our dinner so special. Huge thank you to Donald, Sophie and Andy for looking after us and for the exceptional customer service. We are definitely celebrating our next event at The Hero of Maida!
We were directed upstairs to a restaurant. Unfortunately this was another disappointing experience. Two young people serving the entire floor, unsupervised and poorly trained. Waited at least 20 min for drinks, even after they were sitting on the counter they couldn’t bring them over, my husband tried to help them out but was told he was not allowed. Then we were charged for a drink that we didn’t order. Food was equally disappointing- overcooked tasteless beets salad and lukewarm chicken pie. Dessert was inedible and we had to return it. Not a relaxing easy going evening we were hoping for. Hopefully something will change for the better. But would not hold my breath.
Great pub. It has such a lovely place and a beautiful decor, the service was amazing as well. The food was very delicious. Worth the time
Great pub with fantastic food and an amazing team! The place is lovely, service is impeccable and the staff were very friendly! Will come back for sure!Rooms: 5/5
I love the place and the food, been going there for long, casual diner, drinks or Sunday Roast one of the best in town! But what make this place amazing is the people, hands up to Andy the manager, very attentive but not invasive.
Average at best. Average & overpriced food ate twice here within a week with family & then friends, no gluten-free beer available whatsoever, odd as everywhere sells it nowadays. Extremely cold inside during winter, nobody took their scarves & gloves off... not a bad pub, just bang average.
Highly recommending this place. Food is beyond amazing , great atmosphere, and lovely , friendly staff especially our new favourite Andy who is just adorable !! Well done team!
