I can only speak for the fish and chips, but it was excellent. The haddock was flavorful and the batter was crisped to perfection. I would recommend this to those visiting London in search of fish and chips. The bartender handled our order and drinks. She was very responsive and helpful. 10/10 Guinness pour. The place is quite large so plenty of seating. Music selection a light house vibe at the time I was visiting - 4pm
Lovely. Plush, in a low- key way. Huge Pub featuring walk-through 'Zoned' layout. A local Pub frequented by people from all walks of life. Pleasant, unpretentious Staff. Has nice Chair'n'Table style Outdoor Seating, even a small outdoor Enclosure; for Dining, Summer drinks.Food: 5/5
Genuinely could not have asked for a better environment to watch the Euro quarterfinal. The reservation area was comfortable and well serviced, the staff were friendly and efficient, and there was good volume and view of the screens. One of the nicest pubs I've been to with a great atmosphere. And the food was fantastic. We had a great time!
This is an historic pub close to Ladbroke Grove tube station with an absolutely wonderful interior. It's got quite an interesting history through the decades worth reading up on! and has been renovated nicely really have a good look at the Victorian decor, it's stunning! It was quiet when we went. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food yummy and nicely presented- more of a gastro pub with little twists on pub favourites! Veggie options on offer and chips were fab! Vegetarian options: I had the veggie burger which was great, came with chips and little pots of ketchup and mayo!
We went to Elgin for Sunday Roast and couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy this tradition. Diane was super friendly and told us a little about the pub and the area and I had my first Sticky Toffee Pudding!Recommended dishesYorkshire Pudding, Sunday Roast Beef
The Sunday roast was amazing and Diane's service was fantastic, definitely stop in!Food: 5/5
Wanted to experience our first pub lunch in London and The Elgin did not disappoint! Food was delicious and service was excellent. We got seated straight away upon booking. Would highly recommend the Sunday Roast. We ordered the Pork Belly, Chicken and beef and got recommended the truffle cauliflower - that was delicious and creamy. Special mention to Diane for looking after us - she was really attentive and made some great recommendations! Would definitely come back!
Visited here as a group of 16 for a 29th Birthday in January 2024. We had booked the long room, which is situated on the first floor above street level with beautiful high ceilings and huge windows on all elevations out onto the road. The food was excellent, we had all ordered a couple of weeks in advance but the menu was varied enough to cater to all different dietary needs. The staff were great, all incredibly attentive, helpful and friendly. The venue itself could not be faulted, the room is perfect for groups of up to 20 potentially more and the table setting very nice. All in all, we were very impressed with the overall experience and would definitely recommend the Elgin for anyone looking for a good venue to hire for a celebration / birthday. Thanks again to the team for an excellent afternoon!
Beautiful pub. Came here for Sunday roast. Lovely. Had the veggie mushroom welly and roast beef.Food: 4/5
We had the most wonderful time at the Elgin. Dereck and team were awesome hosts. The food was so much better than the standard pub food, the service was excellent and the building had so much Old English charm with so many features restored or kept. Highly recommendedFood: 5/5
