We had a wonderful meal tonight - so just wanted to big up the food here. The menu has something for everyone - and a few dishes that other local places don't feature. I had a hand made chicken ham and leek pie with fat chips and seasonal vegetables - my wife had a homemade fish pie. There was also a steak and ale pie available, or fresh fish - plus other traditional Inn dishes. There was a nice selection of desserts to choose from including a gluten free homemade chocolate fudge brownie - we opted to share an Eton mess in a tall sundae glass. There were nice wines available - we opted for Malbec, with a Cafetiere of coffee to finish.

Room had just been decorated and was very cosy; the bed was very comfy. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful - they even went out of their way to cook us a meal even though the kitchen was closed. The food was great and the portions were huge. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in for a meal as we were staying at a cottage in the area....ordered goats cheese salad and it was the best salad I have EVER had. Also sell Whitley Neil Blood Orange Gin...winner all round for Me!

The food was lovely, the staff where polite, but there was an issue with the bill, they charged us an extra 14 pounds even though all off us had listed off what drinks we had and what food we had eaten, so we had paid an extra meal and drink by the looks of it. As we was just staying at one of the cabins up the road we didn't want to cause any problems for the owners and just all chipped in, if the extra 14 pounds wasn't on the bill we would of chipped in for a tip.
