This place is a perfect country home situated on a hill with breathtaking views across the valley, we spent most of our time sitting in the garden taking in the view, and the sounds of distant farmland animals.. The accommodation feels private and inviting and the rooms are very comfortable and large overall there is a genuine homely feeling. Kate is a lovely host with a great knowledge of the area.  The breakfasts are generous and delicious, perfect to set you up for a day walking in the fells. I would recommend and definitely would like to stay again!

I stayed at Hawes farm last weekend. A lovely farm house in a beautiful and serene location with a wonderful host is nothing less than pure bliss. The warmth with which Kate welcomed us and made us feel comfortable, topped by the homely breakfast spread the next morning, made our stay wonderful. I will reminisce each and every moment spent there unfortunately my stay was short..for a night only. Kudos to Kate for being such a lovely host. There is nothing not to like about this country house. Highly recomended!

Wow. This is truly a magical place. I’ve visited twice now. Kate is a lovely person and a generous host. It’s worth the trek.
