We loved this place, even though the kitchen was closed during our visit. Nice people, great beer for us and coffee, much needed for my daughter : ... and the surprise when they saw my niece's ID Greetings from Poland
Stopped by for a quick lunch on Sunday. Not crowded but heard the bartender it was a mad house the night before coz of the live match. Ordered the fish n chips and the chix & mushroom pie. Not disappointed. Will be back to grab some drinks some day!
Tasty and well-built menu. Nice selection on tap. Pleasant lunchtime atmosphere and decor. Friendly staff.
We went for Sunday lunch... I live in France so wanted something traditional.. The staff were fantastic, service timely, background music names adds to the ambience and the food glorious. Simply Wow!
This pub is so good! We visited once late at night and loved it so much we came back two nights later. I had a Chipuffalo Burger the first time and the Beef Dripping burger the second night. I'm not sure which one I liked better. They were both SO good! My husband had the Smokin Jack burger the first night and the big platter of fish and chips the second night. The employees were amazing. They were super helpful and funny. An all around great place!!!
Update: We decided to visit the pub again and really glad we did. The gammon steak and 8 oz. sirloin were superb. I would recommend these if you wish to try the classics. It wasn't busy at the time of our visit and staff gave us an overview of the Greene King brand. The place was clean and the ambience was relaxed. It was a pleasant experience, very many thanks to the team huge credit to the chef for the fantastic meal. Previous review: Booked a table for 2, arrived only to be told kitchen was out of order which was fine as these things do happen, however, we received no notification that this was the case, otherwise, we wouldn't have made the journey. Interacted with 2 staff throughout, one was friendly and nice, one staff was a bit off with his customer-facing skills towards us. The decor is nice and I can only imagine the ambience when watching live sports on tele. I may visit again to give the place another chance to redeem itself and will definitely home in on customer-facing skills. I believe in second chances. In the meantime, 3 stars is fair.
Terrible service. Allowed half the table to order and pay and then closed the kitchen, before it was supposed to close. Absolute garbage service. Haven’t tasted the food yet, hence the two stars. Just got my order though, and a portion of chips is exactly 10 chips. Make of that what you will. Edit, one star. Fries were flavourless, burger was dry and tough. This is McDonald’s quality food. Edit: see their ridiculous reply below. “I’m sorry, but I’m not sorry.” Haha, just avoid this place.
Casually we found this pub close by High Street Kensington station in a nice and quiet residential area. Plenty of space where you can enjoy a pint, watching some Football with some friends. The staff is superfriendly, especially Christian was outstanding! Thank you for the recommendations and the beautiful experience. We will be back soon!
Great traditional London pub. Good efficient bar staff, keeping on top of a busy Saturday night. Love sport on and the food looked good too.
Nice pub and helpful staff - clean and friendly ambiance/midday crowd - crucially, Guinness was poured to standard, with adequate rest!
