This was one of the best meals of my short visit to London. The Sunday Roast was phenomenal; we had the lamb and the beef. So tender and flavourful. The beer was cold too, what a great Sunday lunch. On top of that, they have wonderful staff - everyone from the bar to the kitchen and in between. We were treated like family, and we arrived without a reservation. Thank you for accommodating us! I'll be back if I'm ever back in London for sure.
We were so lucky to have come across the Scarsdale Tavern on a day out to the Design museum nearby. The premise is cozy and well decorated, the staff and music gave off very cheerful and welcoming vibes and the food absolutely exceeded our expectations! I had the cod, my friends had the lamp shoulders and pie and none of us could be happier with the food we were served. Highly recommend!
We’ve enjoyed a lot! Great pub, super-nice and friendly staff. At first we sat inside near the fireplace where it was cozy and warm. Later on we went to sit outside so we could smoke where it was equally pleasant. Didn’t have main course, just a snack… the meat and cheese board not something extraordinary / decent however and the triple fried potatoes which were crunchy and tasteful. I would visit again.
Had the Sunday roast lamb shoulder, was tender and bits of fats. Delicious! Yorkshire pudding was pretty good too, flaky on the pastry with a slight chew on the inside. Also had some craft beers on tap. Wait staff were also attentive and patient. Enjoyed my Sunday lunch and looking forward to visiting again.
Great pub with a lovely atmosphere. Excellent outside area at the front of the pub on a quiet street with one of the oldest garden squares in London across the road. The one time we ate there was at the end of a Sunday Roast service and we were disappointed. Other reviews rave about the food so it seems we were unlucky. It is often busy so be prepared to wait for a seat, but it is worth the wait! Inside beside the fire in the winter and outside, surrounded by great flower displays in the summer! Definitely worth a visit and we will dine again at some point and I will update this review after!
What a great find! Excellent food and very good service. Really cosy place inside. Would like to come again in future. The sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I’ve ever had, hands down.
Have been here multiple times. It’s a nice pub hidden away for the bustle of High Street Kensington. Tucked away near my favourite square. Surrounded by greenery. Very nice during the summer but equally in the winter. The staff are friendly. We sat out on the occasion and had a lovely fish and chips. Would highly recommend
High Street Kensington  £7.00 Asahi A stunning Fullers pub located on a leafy square in upmarket Kensington. . The Scarsdale Tavern is located on tranquil Edwardes Square, I took a very pleasant ten minute walk from High Street Kensington station to get here. . This traditional Victorian pub has a beautiful exterior and a cosy patio around the entrance. The darkened interior is very easy on the eye and is full of old world charm with some elegant touches. I visited over Halloween weekend and unfortunately the bar was covered in faux cobwebs but I could still see the gorgeous etched windows, paintings and the gorgeous decor. The pub is set out in an L shape with a dining area at the rear of the bar. . This Fullers pub has a familiar beer lineup with four cask options available. I had a pint of Asahi which was great and I really enjoyed it, price point is premium but this was to be expected in this part of town. The food menu is full of hearty elevated pub classics, fish & chips cost £17.65. . I arrived just before 1pm on a Saturday and the pub was busy throughout. The atmosphere here was convivial and relaxed with a clientele of well healed locals, a couple of eccentric characters and a few tourists. I felt very welcome here and the team were polite and courteous. . The @scarsdalew8 has been on my must visit list for some time now and it didn’t disappoint. The price point is premium but so is the offering. This pub is full of old world charm and character which makes for an excellent pub experience. . ℹ Information correct on visiting 29/10/22
I took my family to Scarsdale Tavern for Sunday roast and it was delicious. Service was friendly and good and pub had a nice atmosphere. We all ordered the beef roast and we’re very happy with it!
One word review "Splendid" Long winded - a gorgeous pub on one of Kensington's back streets. Floral arrangements on the front of the pub, spectacular. Spacious but intimate inside, well worn but smart. The staff are lovely and the beer is cold. Plenty of cask ales for those that want. Solid food for those that do. A thoroughly lovely pub, do pay a visit when you are close, you won't be disappointed.
