Nice pub. Popped in on a Saturday afternoon and it was quiet. £6.80 for a lovely Mahou. The chips were great! Only downside was it had had lots of TVs on showing BBC news which was unnecessary and a bit distracting.Food: 5/5

In the area on vacation and looked for a pub nearby that served English fare. We tried this place and we enjoyed it. We had the steak and ale pie photo is pre gravy pour with creamy mashed potatoes and non-mushy peas. We were asked several times how the food was and it was really good. Drinks were good. Place was clean.Food: 5/5

Great service and awesome vibes! Ordered their fish and chips a classic, as well as their CheeseCake was spot on! I personally found the fish and chips huge, but it was worth every bite. it tasted delicious and very fresh! 10/10 would recommend! Special thanks to the barman and the server, both were really know their jobs and made our night in sweet memory.

Brought a tour group from America to enjoy a traditional English pub dinner. We were not disappointed!! The food was delicious-we had fish/chips, steak/ale pie, chicken/leek pie, burgers and a delicious avocado/quinoa salads.  The chocolate cake dessert was a fabulous way to end the meal! The service was friendly, prompt and efficient with our large group. The atmosphere was enjoyable! Highly recommend!

I came here because the reviews were good. I don’t think these other reviewers know what a good pub should look like - this definitely isn’t a good pub.  The staff were cold, not friendly. They all seemed preoccupied on their phones or chatting between themselves. The beer was overpriced, and the was no atmosphere.

I really enjoy this pub as one of the five or so that is near my office. I have never eaten here so can only comment on it as a drinking spot, and for that, it is a very good pub.  When the weather is good, the outdoor area is a lovely spot to sit in and when the weather is grim, you get the dual choice of the pub bar area and the backside that is slightly more like a dining room.  The only thing that I dislike about the pub is that you do sometimes have strange people opening and closing the windows constantly, putting their snacks on chairs, and all those such slightly odd things that don't really make it a bad place to be, but just prevent it from being a five out of five pub.
