Decent place for food but the pub smells with staleness when you step in. Pet friendly and good old local pub for the neighbourhood.Food: 3/5
Visited for drinks early on a Saturday evening. Lovely atmosphere, great choice of beers and staff were great too. Terrace outside was marvellous with heaters too. Great to watch the world go by! Returned for Sunday lunch and weren't disappointed. Thoroughly enjoyed the roast beef and happy with the generous well cooked portions. Would definitely return if we are in Kensington again.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. Mojito cocktail was just super addictive after the first sip and the steak was soooo delicious with a lovely char. Love the padron peppers too!! And hello Danny!! Thank you for the wonderful service Food: 5/5
This is the first place we are while in London and we were not disappointed! Absolutely delicious. We had the Rosemary & Garlic Camembert baked in sourdough, and the fish and chips.Food: 5/5
I recently had a fantastic experience at an English pub that truly embodies the essence of a classic watering hole. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with rustic decor and a lively yet cozy vibe. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional service from the barman, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. His knowledge of the drink menu was impressive, and he made thoughtful recommendations based on our tastes. I tried his suggestion of a locally brewed ale, and it was perfect—rich and full of flavor. The pub also had a great selection of classic pub fare, and I enjoyed the fish and chips, which were crispy and delicious. Overall, the combination of excellent drinks, hearty food, and top-notch service made for a memorable evening. A big thank you to the barman for his attentiveness and recommendations—it truly enhanced our experience! I can’t wait to return to this gem of a pub.
Sunday roast at this place was amazing! The portions were huge and food very delicious!! Cocktails were also great and affordable. Staff was very kind and friendly. It also has a nice terrace and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend!!Food: 5/5
Thank you ever so much to the accommodating team at The Devonshire Arms for making Theodore’s 5th Birthday Paw-ty such a memorable occasion! The warm welcome and genuinely kind staff, who always make my big bear feel right at home, meant the world to us and all our guests. A special thanks to Ana, Aysha, and John for their top-notch service, they went above and beyond to ensure that Theodore, his furry friends, and our human guests were all wonderfully looked after. Today was the perfect day and we truly appreciate the joy and care you brought to his celebration Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly via my big dog kid. Lots of love from us both!
The team were great! I had booked a space for about 25 people and Anna and team were super accommodating. We were a big group and we were given great attention. The food was great, the drinks were flowing - the cocktails were amazing can be a little bit more spicy on those margaritas :P Just a great venue for relaxed drinks with great service! Absolutely recommend for a drunk after work, a dinner with friends, or a birthday too. Just great great GREAT!
Stopping by The Devonshire Arms in Kensington for drinks was a fantastic way to unwind and enjoy a relaxed evening in one of the city's more charming pubs. This traditional, beautifully preserved spot offers a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet drink after a long day. The drink selection is excellent, featuring a well-curated range of beers, ales, and wines. If you're a craft beer enthusiast, you'll be spoiled for choice here. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to offer recommendations and guide you through their selection. What makes The Devonshire Arms stand out is its combination of classic British pub vibes with a modern twist in terms of service and offerings. The rustic wooden interiors, dim lighting, and inviting fireplace create a perfect ambiance for unwinding, especially on cooler evenings. Despite its central location in Kensington, it feels like a hidden gem—away from the hustle and bustle, yet full of life with a great local crowd. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with a great selection of drinks and an authentic pub experience, The Devonshire Arms is well worth a visit. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening.
The atmosphere is charming, with the option to sit in the quiet restaurant side or the pub side. We loved the food, but especially the chicken ham leek pie, scotch egg, calamari and the sticky toffee pudding. Looking forward to visiting again!Food: 5/5
