Just a quick drink Sunday afternoon. Very quiet, nice garden and good service.  No food here at the moment.

This is a nice, quiet pub that is now run by the community it seems. So it's a welcoming place which is nice to drop into if you're in the area with or without a dog. They don't do food but they absolutely don't mind if you bring in a takeaway to enjoy with your pint.

For ages I have looked at this pub and thought I must visit. One cold windy Sunday  was meant to be walking up to the nature reserve and beyond, but fancied a quick pint en route....nnThen I got chatting. Wonderful staff, great landlord and lady, brilliantly friendly regulars and my walk ground to a halt. But it was replaced with a lovely afternoon near the coal fire, with good beer.nnAnd finally, nothing to do with the pub, but hopefully to make you smile....nnI bought a crystal ball but only ever predicted very cold winters.nnTurns out they sold me a snow globe.

Very friendly and charming. We managed to get some stone baked pizza from another onsite business. Lovely little garden to eat, drink and relax in.

Lovely friendly historical pub -one of the oldest in Swanage and only one with a thatched roof. Nice beer garden with a covered area and good food.
