Nice cozy stop for lunch on a day trip to Swanage. Good menu and very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

Not the most welcoming experience. The owner was very abrupt and grumpy. Be careful if you use the toilet - the stairs are dangerous and you might hit your head coming down like I did. The food was fine however if somewhat over-priced and I like the fact that they welcome dogs.

Very dirty cafe, they advertise "giant" "fresh" "hot" scones when actually they are just normal size, clearly from a packet and microwaved and only have plain available, we visited at approximately 3pm to find that they had no cakes left, only cream tea, generally the whole place was lacking atmosphere which is a shame as a you can see it has potential, you could clearly see that the main table is used as a staff office/desk with a large printer in the window, this is not a nice sight in the main eating area, also when going to the toilet you are directed upstairs to the end of the coridor, the corridor is a mess of stock freezers and junk, there where even old invoices lying aroud, the order counter was dirty, used coffee granuals all over the counter and coffee and chocolate powder all over the keyboard. The cafe itself was also about 80° with no air-conditioning. Halfway through eating a member of staff came over to say she had not charged us enough and that we would have to pay more this was really embarrassing having this announced to the whole cafe scene as this was an error that the café made. Overall I would not recommend this place at all, very poor food and very poor customer scervice. If you want an amazing cream tea with an amazing location and atmosphere go to the miniture model village at corfe castle, it's only up the road or 20 odd min on the steam train, they have home made scones with a choice of plain or fruit and bottomless jam and clotted cream that visit in comparison was heven, with seats indoors or outdoors next to a free croquet lawn.
