Got to say this is the best Pub we have been in for a very long time. The food was excellent, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. And the atmosphere was everything you would wish from a beautiful old English pub. We found the manager Turk was attentive and friendly. Will be coming again very soon!
Lovely pub, welcoming and friendly staff. Great atmosphere, The new chef Anthony is brilliant! The roast dinner we had was absolutely banging. Good sized portion great value for money. Highly recommend and will be back for sure!
Found this pub on the off-chance and so glad we did. So friendly! Great service! Great Guinness! Dog friendly!nSplit in 2 halves / one side is small and has a roaring fire, the other side is bigger and you can eat.nOwner goes above and beyond to makenYou feel welcome! Will be back.
Outstanding value for money, booked the one bedroom apartment a couple of days before arrival for £60. Greeted by Turk the host, a genuinely friendly and helpful bloke. Room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Ideal location for all of the attractions and amenities for Swanage. Nice pub with well kept real ales and ciders. Only niggle was the emergency lights were on all night in the apartment.
Arrived to a lovely welcome from the lady in housekeeping who showed us to our lovely room with parking right outside our room called Lulworth room .nBright clean and tidy and very roomy .nAfter a lovely cup of tea and a rest we entered the restaurant/ bar was welcomed by the lovely tall bar man who sat us down an gave us menus . We had excellent starters , lamb shawari and garlic mushroom, we both had shish chicken with a flat bread, salad chips and dips , we shared a chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream dessert , compliments to the chef the food was most delicious the flavours all spot on can recommend the foodnEnjoyed the wine and Timothy Taylor and nice bombay sapphire gin and whisky and treated to a baby Guinness by the lovely barman . A good crowd of people in the bar all friendly and we loved it that much we have booked ourselves in for Sunday roast as it was recommended so before we leave for home that will be awesome . Want to also mention the music playing was good all round music enjoyed by all ages a great place with friendly staff and customers. Give the Red lion a visit .
