Delicious fish and chips at very reasonable prices. Really crunchy chips. A few small indoor tables with seats for 2 people. Generous portion sizes. Great place.
The atmosphere here gets 4 stars because of the banter between the many locals queing for / eating their regular dose of F&C from here.nnFood - my 'regular' size cod was tasty with good flavoured batter and no nasty lingering oil taste.nnI also had a fish cake which I wouldn't repeat. Partly because there was way too much parsley in it for my liking, and largely because there was not a load of fish flavour to it. I almost didn't order it because it didn't look too appealing sitting there under the heat lamps, but from that point of view, it had a nice crunch to the crust and wasn't at all dried out inside.

Stopped off here for some food at lunchtime today. We have been here before but not for a few years.nI had the homemade fishcake which was £3. It was very tasty and full of fish along with potato. The chips were nice and hot.nIt was very busy but the staff were on top of it with a couple of servers on the tills and people making up the orders.
Excellent place, friendly staff. Good food and prices
