So a small pub with a massive kitchen. Didn’t seem to be much room inside for eating but a nice outdoor garden which has a huge awning with heaters for those slightly chilly evenings - unless it’s windy then the canopy retractsnA more than decent selection of options and some excellent specials. Chef managed to pop out at some point to see how we were getting on.nWe shared a mixed platter which was more than decent - and if you have the same one, those little cubes are butter *not* cheese.nI had Korean ribs which had a slight kick in spice but meat fell off the bone.
Random dinner choice destination but what a great decision it was. Such a warm welcome from the team and the food was fantastic and very quick hopefully the pictures do the meals some justice!. The specials are clearly popular too, as several choices ran out while we were there. Highly recommended, cosy, clean and tidy. Would advise booking as it is clearly popular. Well done to all the team, thank you.
Booked a table after reading numerous positive reviews and were so glad that we did. Everything that we tried all 3 courses was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.nnWe would love to go back.
A wonderful pub, a little off the beaten track in Swanage, absolutely delicious food at reasonable prices.nA reservation is recommended...there are changing daily recommendations in addition to the menu.nThe sheltered beer garden is very nice - it would be even better if some guests would respect the smoking areas!nThe bill can be written on the table-card payment NFC no problem.nWill certainly be back on our next holiday!
Very busy pub selling some of the best food in Swanage. A varied menu, supported by a daily specials board, gives some great choices. Make sure you book as its always busy here. The chef here deserves huge credit for the presentation as well as the great cooking skills. Also well done to the staff and management for keeping the prices so competitively low. Excellent.
