This unique building is a country B&B on one side an a historic 400 year old inn on the other.
Some of the finest walks in the Lake district start right on the doorstep, including the Fairfield horseshoe and Loughrigg terrace. Ambleside and Grasmere are close by with spectacular views all around. its not surprising that William Wordsworth chose to spend most of his life at Rydal Mount, a stones throw away behind us on the fell-side.
Stay and enjoy the local home cooked food, real ales and the open fires.
Our staff are friendly and always willing to help which plays a big part in making the Glen Rothay really Unique, make sure to look at our guestbook, full of comments from guest who have returned again and again.
And last but especially not least come watch the badgers being fed on the grounds every evening, where else can you get all that.
