Cannot thank the George Inn enough for hosting our Wedding Party last night. Pete and the team were amazing, so friendly and accommodating with all our requests and so helpful throughout the planning stages of our party. The venue is fun and relaxed in a great location and perfect for the type of party we wanted. The private bar & private room upstairs is a great space and very easy to dress and make your own. It also led out to the decking and garden and was perfect for our big arrival in the sunshine. Buffet food was also fantastic as we're the drinks selection. We had the best time and would highly recommend The George Inn to anyone looking for a wedding party venue.
This is our first visit post pandemic, and I’m glad to say it did not disappoint. We had the beef and pork for Sunday roast and shared a dessert. The venue looks amazing and has such a warm atmosphere, however, the main attraction, as always, should be the food. Both roasts hit the mark, super tasty and they came out very quickly, so as long as you book, there should be no waiting around. We had a colly cheese as an extra, that was spot on too!!! All I can say is… We will be back to try the other options on that menu, as soon as possible, I look forward to seeing you all at the George Inn.
Our first visit to The George Inn we had trouble getting a reservation for a Sunday roast. The landlord was very friendly over the phone and even though his bookings were full he kindly booked us in. We ordered the Pork and Beef. It was so succulent and the vegetables were tasty in a caramelised onion gravy. The Yorkshire pudding was good too. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it and we were quite full. My only criticism is we had to wait to get tucked in as we had no cutlery. Also if you like a pudding there was very little choice. Therefore we didn't have one. It also has a nice atmosphere
Almost One star off because my beer was not super cold. Lovely Sunday Roast! Great service, awesome staff. Food was delectable although the portions are massive. Definitely have kids ages 5-9 share a kid’s portion over 2 plates cause it’s massive. And if you’re not a gluten, don’t over order on the extras BUT do order the Cauliflower Cheese. It’s amazing!!!!! A 30min walk down to the magical and mysterious Abbey’s Pool afterwards to help digestion is highly recommended!!
Visited for some food before heading off to watch the rugby. Staff were very friendly, there’s a nice atmosphere and country modern feel to the pub, there was a nice warm fire going. The syrup had gone on our drinks and there was no issues changing them over. We all ordered different burgers, the food came out quickly was hot and delicious, I recommend the BBQ Base. Will definitely visit again.
Very dog friendly and lovely staff, even brought our pampered pooch a bowl of water. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Perfect for a spot of lunch after a walk at Ashton Court, Leigh Woods or Abbot's Pool all of which are close by.
Genuinely one of the nicest meals I’ve ever had! Chips were cooked to perfection, coleslaw was pristine and the burger was just elite couldn’t get enough of it! And the popcorn chicken too was just delicious. Staff as well were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend
A pub with a very large garden and terrace. We ate a Sunday roast and the quality was good but perhaps it lacked a little more quantity for me. The waiters were very friendly at all times and they were nice people. In my opinion an interesting site and if you own a pet you will have no problem taking it because pets are allowed access.
Really lovely Sunday Roast today at The George Inn. I had pork and my GF had vegetarian Wellington. Both were cooked really nicely and the roasted vegetables were especially good. Very generous portion of chocolate brownie and ice-cream which was delicious too. We ate early at midday and the food was ready quickly. The staff were friendly and attentive.
My wife and I recently had a reception at this wonderful venue. The staff and service was exceptionally professional and very accommodating. The food was excellent and generous in portion size. The facilities were charming with a great back garden. Highly recommended!
