Nice relaxed atmosphere, quiet on my visit but can't imagine it being overly crowded and loud. Food was fine, bit too much salt for my taste but that might be just me. Standard is definitely better than normal pub food.
Lovely pub/eatery. Very stylish. A great location with a bear garden overlooking the harbour. Staff lovely. Espresso Martini was lovely! Over 40 gins available! Didn't try the food but looked nice.
Popped in for a light lunch on a Sunday because we happened to be nearby, and we were very impressed. Lively bar/restaurant with fresh, high quality food. We had the Jerusalem artichoke soup, and the pork rillettes with pickled vegetables. Both were delicious. Our waitress was very attentive, and kept us informed when she had to check on specific matters or questions. She explained that it was her first day in the job, and if management are reading this, the young lady who joined your staff on Sunday 12 February is an excellent addition to your team! I had an excellent pint of bitter, but our only issue was with the house white wine which was really rather poor. That said, we would still highly recommend a visit.
Great position for a pub on a beautiful sunny day with a lovely beer garden/outdoor space. Was a bit surprised that they wouldn't sell us a simple portion of chips on a Sunday at ~2:30pm, so be aware they have a very set menu before you visit. Proceeded to just order drinks and the waitress told us that they only had 1 cider available : Our two pints then took 20 minutes to be delivered, which was a little disappointing for what seemed like a quietish day. Overall has a lot of potential, and I hope for a better experience on my next visit.
Beer was nice enough, cider was lovely. Lots of space, it was even a nice treat to enjoy some 'late teen' apathy while we were getting our drinks. I remember the feeling well... chin up soldier... its not that bad..
A pie and a small portion of leeks for £14.50. Later saw someone else with the same, but they had gravy also did I need to buy gravy as an extra or was I just not given the gravy? staff were nice. Just pricey for what it is I think
Been twice in last few months. Both times awful. Waited 20 minutes for a table even though could clearly see several free whilst being forced to wait outside. Once seated, didn’t get served despite repeatedly asking nicely if we could order. Left after 45 minutes of waiting without ordering so much as a drink. Avoid. Much better, nicer pubs nearby.
WORST PUB IN BRISTOL. Seriously, anyone giving this place 5 stars is being paid. I can afford an expensive meal & will do if it's good. I ordered a main & it was so small, I was starving & needed to order another! Most of the people in our party birthday party had to do the same. You are paying for the location. There are better pubs nearby. Go there.
Excellent service and excellent food. The hake was delicious. Highly recommend.
This place has a lot of potential, being in a good location and having lots of outside seating. However, similar to one of the other reviews, we were never served once seated. We waited around 10 minutes and tried to get the staffs attention it wasn't that busy, but we were simply ignored and eventually left.
