"Boasting one of the best pub locations in Bristol, The Cottage dates back to 1868 and was used by merchants for storing Baltic timber for the growing number of businesses in the dock during that period.Today, it’s a buzzing pub with stunning views across the harbour and a menu offering delicious takes on pub classics with a focus on seasonal ingredients, fresh fish and seafood. Behind the bar, expect a wide selection of craft beer and cask ale, and an exciting wine and cocktail list."

Enjoyed excellent drinks and lunch at The Cottage pub. Very friendly staff, large range of drinks and food. Mulled wine was great on a cold day. Recommend fish cakes with mango curry sauce, sag aloo and poached egg. Sticky date pudding with gingerbread ice cream is not so sweet as ‘toffee pudding’ perfect.
I love the Cottage Inn, and it's one of my favourite pit stops if cycling, or just strolling around the docks. I've spent more afternoons sat on those steps as the sun sets then I care to remember, and the view is incredibly photogenic
Take a drink to enjoy the river view is ok but not for the food. Understand it’s a tourist place but the portion of snack calamari is surprisingly small more then £8 and taste is not good, not crispy and taste plain. Overall the food cost is expensive. P.S: 2 pint of beer + calamari total costs nearly £19.
We are on a 5 day birthday break....and what a surprise! All of a sudden, in the early evening, the weather brightened up and the whole of Bristol was strolling along the river bank, paddle boarding, cycling and generally enjoying themselves. And then we happened upon this lovely pub. Perfect location, wonderful views, boat trips, good ales, good but expensive food and the most wonderful Aperol Spritz '!! And....the icing on the cake....Good people watching!! We used the App to save mixing indoors and it worked perfectly . It was busy. The staff were lovely and it was the perfect evening.....
What a wonderful little pub! Honestly, this must be one of the cosiest pubs around, boasting fantastic Butcombe beers and, by appearances, although I haven't sampled yet myself, great food. Just outside is a beautiful view of Clifton and the river running through Hotwells right in front of the pub. Special
A hidden gem in the harbor of Bristol. A place that you must visit if you are near. Very cozy with great kitchen and of course the best view.
Lovely pub but expensive considering the small portions. Ordered and adult burger but what I was served resembled something more akin to a child's portion. Whilst the food did taste nice, the piece of chicken in my burger was so tiny it only filled half the bun!
Great pub for a pint with a view on the river and the coloured houses up the hill. Cosy atmosphere with a fire burning in the corner. Recommend the buttercombe pale ale
ON arriving at the Cottage we were met with a very atmospheric and warm quaint pub. Although our table was booked for 2pm, we arrived early and were shown to our table next to the open fire, by the joyful and friendly bar staff. The pub is set on the dock side, it’s not the biggest but your made most welcome. There are excellent walks that you can take along the harbour side, that take you into the heart of Bristol. A very pleasant day was had.
Perfect for a pint after a walk along the harbour. Great views. I went in August but finally got around to reviewing it today!
