Amazing day and so relaxing. Me and the wife went for a spa day with lunch. The staff were so attentive, polite and nice. The facilities were fun, relaxing and clean.  Our lunch was awesome. Fresh and tasty. The staff took care of us and nothing was too much trouble.  Our treatments, again lovely and as perfect as can be. Very relaxing and couldn't fault anything.  Even had a little visitor pop in, a peacock who lives on site.

I bought my daughter the Winter Unwind Spa day as a Christmas present. We had the most wonderful relaxing day yesterday. We experienced the warmest of welcomes on arrival and friendly staff all day. Loved that it's a smaller size health club, feels cosy and welcoming and very chilled . Great facilities, great treatments including the best back massage ever. We will definitely be back or even become members. Would highly recommend

My daughter and I went to Gainsborough spa today, and we had an excellent time we had a day spa with treatments which were fantastic and very relaxing, the staff were very friendly and professional, our massages and the Indian mud room were excellent, the girls Lucy and Amy were really great, very friendly and very professional, thank you also to the lovely girl in the cafe she was    also really amazing.  Thank you all for a wonderful day. Xx

I booked this as a birthday treat for my daughter and I , I prefer a smaller boutique type spa and this looked lovely. Upon arrival the staff at the gym reception were friendly and smiley. Although we was asked if we knew what time our treatments were which I found a little strange. I hadn’t realised how small this place would be, max of 5 in the pool and you could fit 4 in the jacuzzi at a squeeze. They both looked nice and clean. The relaxation room because damp as the day went on as it has upholstered seating but it is really the only place to Sit comfortably in your robe and swimming costume, it was also very chilly. Although an online medical questionnaire is completed before arrival the therapist did not ask us anything at all, not our name, not if we had any areas of concern or what type of massage we wanted. Just if we had any medical issues. We was not greeted in a professional manner and the the therapists did not tell us there names. We was taken to the double room despite declining this upon booking. The couch was ripped and tatty up to the face hole , this exposed loose thread and sponge which is obviously unhygienic, the room was cold. There was no heated blankets on the very basic couches. Cold oil was poured on my back although I was warned prior to this. Either an oil warmer is needed or warm in the hands. My therapist yawned throughout my massage and the therapists whispered to each other throughout the treatments . We were very cold after the massage and the relaxation room was too cold to sit in. The staff sit around in the very small cafe , although the lady working in there was very polite and friendly. We actually asked if we could get our money back for our second treatment so we could leave but this was not possible, our second treatment was a facial and my therapist had changed . She had a very relaxing facial technique but no skin analysis was given as advertised for this facial, no questions asked about our skin or skincare etc. sadly these two therapists were also whispering throughout the treatment and I had a weird vibrating under the couch by my head which I guess was a phone in the therapist pocket . I felt like a real treat was an absolute waste of money and I have never come across anything like it to be honest , I am shocked that more people do not feel the need to leave a review! I did email the manager to provide my feedback, this was then passed on to one of the therapists that done one of my treatments to respond to….

I visited the spa with my mum on a half day package. We had the twin room massage and we were both so relaxed. My mum said it was the best massage she’d ever had. Very relaxing room and great pool. We look forward to booking again.

Came here for a spa day and have to say,  I was treated like royalty. The girls giving the treatment were friendly and so amazing at their jobs. Had a facial, mud treatment and pedicure and cannot even begin to explain how perfect it was. Thank you to all the girls there and cannot wait to come back

I have had a couple of treatments here at the Gainsborough now over the past few months and it is honestly my go to! Each time I have been I have experienced different therapists, but each and every one is completely professional, they know exactly what they are doing and the treatments are just divine!! Thank you :

Unfortunately I had a terrible manicure the day before my wedding. Not even 3 days after the manicure I had the gel nails fall off and 1 week later I only have about 3 left. I’ve never had this experience with OPI gel in the past so I can only put this down to the lack of experience of the girl who did my manicure. There was also a very high degree of unprofessional behaviour from a number of staff - despite a last minute cancellation of one member of my part of 4, every therapist found every excuse under the sun not to give my mother her manicure, in front of me. This led to two girls having a row as to who was to take their lunch and slammed doors. At this price point I’m afraid the experience I had plus the poor quality of manicure felt like a total rip off and highly disappointing, especially as my wedding nails are already ruined less than a week after my wedding.

I took my daughter here for a birthday treat. We did the summer package.  Staff are friendly and professional. The beauty therapist did our treatments so well so relaxed. We had preordered our salads for lunch with Prosecco which we ate in the court yard. The pool,steam room and jacuzzi all clean and we pretty much had the areas to ourselves.  The court yard could probably do with more loungers in the summer months as not really anywhere to sit inside pool area and on a nice day be nice to relax outside.  Overall a lovely relaxing day and really pleased we found this gem of a spa, definitely would go again and recommend to family and friends. Well done

Danielle & team were very accommodating & helpful. A lovely relaxing spa day with friends. We all had a fun time, I enjoyed a pamper package which was a mud treatment, scrub & massage with a glass of prosecco. My therapist gave the most amazing massage. There is a lovely peacock that visits on the courtyard as well which was nice to see & added to the experience. I recommend this spa for a nice relaxing day with friends.
