Great pub, stunning service usually, food always amazing. It’s got two main areas plus a garden, the main bar area is very convivial and friendly, the seated area round the corner is a little more intimate but also where larger parties are usually seated, so it’s a case of taking your chances. Having said this, even with a large group seated, it’s never been a bad experience. The only small fly in the ointment is being told off for trying to order food at the bar when we’d been waiting for 23 minutes for someone to come to the table (wasn’t clock watching, just hangry, promise!). I understand the reasoning behind asking people to remain seated, but when it feels as if the table has been forgotten it’s tough to hear. I would like to stress that this has happened maybe 3 or 4 times out of several hundred visits, and is certainly not normal. The standard here is very high, staff are always knowledgable of the food being served and always a good laugh - keep it up!

went today with our daughter and her partner for lunch. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had. Excellent food and service will definitely go again only criticism would have preferred a hotter plate as there was so much food it got a bit cold towards the end but excellent

Cracking pub and the food was excellent. Awesome Sunday lunch with very generous portions. Beware the Alsatian-sized scavenging seagulls if you sit outside.

We had a fantastic meal here last night. The pork ribs were amazing and my wife found the menu very accommodating for vegetarians. The staff were very friendly too. Excellent food and good beer in a very relaxed atmosphere and very reasonably priced.... just what we were looking for. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
