Superb dog-friendly place with fantastic food. The pub has a nice warm feeling and has a nice buzz as it was nicely filled. The food is superb, the menu is short (it fits on a single page), but it has something for everyone. A mix of British pub food done excellently, veggie options including a Malaysian-style curry, steak, fresh fish and burgers, cheeseboards and more. There didn't seem to be any vegan options except the hummus as starter and the side salad, so bare that in mind if visiting with a vegan. Everyone found something they fancied. The desserts are all classic British deserts - you can't go wrong. The Scotch egg in the starters is fantastic, but massive for a starter! Cut it in half and share it with someone so you have room for the rest. We loved our visit to The Better Half and would definitely visit again.

This pub was an absolute gem of a find, I live fairly close and had never heard of it. The food is nothing short of stunning and with a nice mix to suit all comers. All meals are reasonably priced and a good range from light snack to large meal. The desserts are epic and worth a visit just to sample them. The drinks menu's are great with a broad range from beers and ciders up to reasonably expensive wines. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.

A little oasis. Fabulous pub with great atmosphere. Food - we didn't eat - looked excellent. Lovely small garden. Will definitely return.

Great selection of ales and other beverages. Limited menu but well executed. Service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Very friendly. Highly recommended.
