Heard it was highly rated for Sunday Roast so a group of us decided to give it a go. Everyone really enjoyed their meal and most found some room to squeeze in dessert, which were also really good! Definitely worth the small wait for our food.
Walking past this place & had a look at there menu outside & was impressed, so 3 of us went in & the food , service & staff where great. Great selection of beers to go with the food, would definitely go again.
Wanted to take the time to leave our thanks for a wonderful Christmas Day meal. The manager, and our server Maddie, could not do enough for us, and it was all done with care and a smile. From calling us the day before to deal with an issue with pre-orders, to patiently assisting our 93 year old Nan, we felt very well looked after. The food was hot, delicious, and arrived in a timely fashion, which is quite something in a very busy pub and with us being a table of 11. Thank you very much. We appreciated all your efforts.
Wouldn't have thought this place was open looking in from the outside - it is incredibly dimly lit - but I'm so glad that I did give it a go! Excellent selection of beers, and the food was amazing! The menu had your classics, but also a number of options that you may not typically expect to see! Will return for more!
We really enjoyed our visit for Sunday lunch. The drinks were really nice and the roast dinner was superb! The staff were super friendly and attentive. I would have given a 5 star, but the desert took 45 minutes to arrive. I ordered via the app. A function to give a wait time when the kitchen is overwhelmed would be appropriate. I would be unlikely to use the app again in my next visit.
Beautiful pub in the middle of Moseley. Doesn't feel like a soulless chain establishment, lots of character... Good drink selection, comfortable surroundings, friendly staff, decent prices. Highly recommended.
Been there for a large group approx. 30 people Christmas dinner. Food was ok, but a bit overpriced. The annoying fact was that they asked for a 10£ deposit to secure the booking, that was never returned!!! Definitely they could't handle groups of this size...
Proper pub with a decent choice of ales and beers. This bar has a really nice relaxed vibe, ideal for a pint and chat. I'd recommend the Jaipur if it's on... But only one
We had lunch at The Fighting Cocks on a Wednesday. The pub is located in Mosley, very impressive building, traditional looking inside at the back of the pub there is a large well maintained heated smoking terrace. Great selection of beer and spirits. We enjoyed the food and the service was very good. It's definitely worth a visit.
Sunday evening gig with Steve Ajao's Blues Giants..Space to dance! Traditional pub, Good beers, loads of people. Great atmosphere. Had a great time.
