I didn’t eat there & I don’t live locally but it was worth the trip over there even tho it was a bit empty mid week I guess I loved the feel of the place the decor the cocktails were great and a good price too. There was also live music there I can see myself spending some time there in the summerService: 5/5
Didn't try any food, attended for a live Afro caribbean night the singers were absolutely amazing the drinks were flowing placecwas packed atmosphere was electric what a great place can't wait to return. Had a great nightService: 5/5
If you’ve been out in Moseley, it’s highly likely you’ve been to the iconic Cuban Embassy Bulls Head. It is the oldest pub in the village dating back to the 1700s. Now it’s a little slice of Havana serving up rum based cocktails and live cuban music each weekend We went on Saturday afternoon for bottomless brunch 2hrs. Choose bottomless Prosecco or Cuba Libres, two small plates and a side for £35 per person. We ordered: Iberian Burger Cod and Pepper Croquettes Spanish Chorizo Garlic Chicken Thighs Sweet Potato Fries Garlic Flatbread with cheese The food is provided by Santi’s Kitchen and we loved every bite The garlic chicken thighs were sensational. We were mopping up every last ounce of the sauce with the garlic flatbread; we nearly wore a hole into the plate The cod and pepper croquettes were generously filled with fish, rather than filled out with potato. They were delicately seasoned so the fish could shine and we wanted a bucket full. The burger looked pretty basic, but then we took a bite…the Manchego was nutty and slightly sweet, perfectly complimenting the salty Serrano ham. It tasted homemade and authentic. It was quiet during our visit, so even though I hate the phrase because people are saying it about everything, I’m going to say it…the venue might be well known, but the brunch is a hidden gem It was fantastic for us too as Cuba Libres are a much more appealing option than sugary cocktails. They were also super accommodating and let my mum have vodka instead of rum it’s the little touches. We were having such a lovely time we stayed for a few extra hours and enjoyed some banana daiquiris
Didn't have food so cannot review that. Drinks and variety of rums very good. Wasn't keen on the rum slushie though. In defence Bar staff did say she'd never made it before. Atmosphere on point as alwaysService: 5/5
What can I say...wow! The BA-HA vegan Cuban menu by Frankie Heekin is incredible...! I had to get a picture of her too! Probably the best vegan tacos I have tasted and the padron peppers were authentically delicious...! The vegan lemon cheesecake had a great fluffy texture and was not too sweet. Absolutely perfect. This place is a MUST visit for foodies Birmingham just like their menu at the Rainbow. I will be back...!!
Went for the Caribbean buffet, the food was ok but only one serving allowed and they serve it to you, noticed that they were putting new food on top of the food already there, I don't think anyone has completed a hygiene course. The manager called Tony is rude, arrogant and needs some customer service training, anything we said was met with a shoulder shrug and 'well that's how we do it'. The price is deceiving how it is marketed and what the staff say, the food and drink are not worth £23 Also, the ladies toilets stink
I didn’t get the experience this establishment my first time in Birmingham and the one place I was recommended continuously was here. However after spending £20 on an Uber to get here they were closed even though it says they open at 12 pm. As you can see from my screenshot I got there just after 2pm the doors were closed no one was inside it was a waste of a trip places like this should update their timing if they can’t open at the time they advertise. This was the second place I went to yesterday that was closed at the advertised time I’m from London so if this is a common thing it should be made known so people like me don’t waste cab expenses.
PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The staff lack basic communication and lack of hospitality. The Caribbean Carvery is a Joke, unclear if actually cooked by a Caribbean person, considering we booked for 4pm on arrival we were told to wait as they were needing to refill, then proceeded to serve a group that came in after us. Rice is uncooked and is best part of this mess. I'm starving and can't bring myself to eat it. Curry Goat bland and mac n cheese doesn't even have cheese on! Roast potatoes are clearly aunt Bessie's. Seem they rushing but it's not busy. The only decent thing was the drinks. Manager couldn't be bothered to speak us, they didn't charge us for the meal and was quick to distance them Sadie kitchen. NEVER AGAIN....
Was there for the rum festival. Staff were amazing and very accommodating. The rum on display was amazing. Will be doing again if it is ran againFood: 5/5
Live music was great, really good atmosphere other than an unrelated incident. Matt the manager was brilliant, very keen to help out and the security and bar staff acted very quick. The outcome could’ve been so different if this wasn’t the case, lovely place with great staff :Food: 5/5
