The Elephant & Castle is a Pub and B&B in the center of Holmfirth, Huddersfield. We have 4 en-suite rooms, and a Pool and Darts area.

Story

The landlady, Bev, welcomes you to The Elephant & Castle, Holmfirth. Our pub is in the heart of 'Last of the Summer Wine' Country.
We offer a warm welcome here, from the staff, and the locals, and pride ourselves on making sure you enjoy your time with us!

We have four En-suite rooms to let, and breakfast in the morning is available.
We show all the big games, Sky Sports, BT Sports, Racing UK etc.
We have darts, pool areas here at The Elephant and Castle, and free parking to customers.
Sunday night is our Quiz Night, and Play Your Cards Right. Come and join us, You can win a gallon of ale!
We have a vast range of Cask Ales, Lager, Wines, Spirits and Soft Drinks.

We were lured here by the reviews of Yorkshire puddings and we weren’t disappointed!!! We’d booked which I was glad about as it was a busy Sunday. The roast dinners were delish, a good variety of veg and no fat on the meat we ordered turkey and lamb.nThe service was excellent, Charlotte was our waitress and she was polite, friendly and lovely with my brother who has additional needs.nThe puddings were good too. There was sport on in the pool room which was next to the area we were sat but it wasn’t distracting or too loud.nAll in all a really enjoyable meal out that was only slightly marred by a lady I’d not seen before she hadn’t served us calling us back as we were leaving to query whether we had paid the bill. That was a little embarrassing and a few customers by the bar seemed amused but our waitress confirmed we had and as everything else was on point I’ve not marked my rating down.
We had a drive out from Sheffield and found this lovely place for a Sunday Roast. Gorgeous food and chilled, cosy atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and excellent service would recommend and will visit again! Our waitress was a star thank you
Had a lovely breakfast at this lovely pub this morning... was part of a large group of about 20 and they couldn't do enough for us. Despite the numbers all the food arrived at the same time. I ordered an oat milk cappuccino, and when they realised they didn't have any oat milk someone popped out to buy some for me which was lovely.... nice food, friendly staff and a warm welcome definitely worth a visit
20 people for Sunday Brunch was a big ask, but thanks to everyone serving and chef, we all had a lovely time. The food was really delicious and the service was faultless. I'll definitely visit again
Visited Holmfirth with family to show they the sights of Last of Summer Wine. We decided to have lunch in the E&C. Decor is nice, owner behind the bar nice and polite. There was a good pint of beer on tap. We had the lunch of pie of the day which was mince and onion, with homemade chips which was gorgeous. Also the lasagne with garlic bread was fantastic. All food was homemade and from scratch.
