Story

The historic Old Bridge Inn, famed for the warmth of its traditional Yorkshire hospitality, sits imposingly by the side of the River Holme in the centre of the small market town of Holmfirth. Adjacent to the Peak District National Park, the town lies amongst the stunning natural beauty of the Pennine hills with the famous Pennine Way cutting across the adjoining heather-covered moors.

Although surrounded by such natural beauty, the Hotel is only a short drive from the major towns and cities of Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford and Wakefield - making it an ideal venue for a relaxing week or weekend break, an important business meeting or conference. Holmfirth is renowned as the location for the hugely popular television series 'Last of the Summer Wine' and over the years the Hotel has been delighted to entertain famous members of the cast and production team as guests.

Fast service, accommodating with young kids, tasty food and huge portions. Food came out a little on the cool side. Enjoyable Sunday lunch.

Little touches matter when you are away from home. The soft music in the restaurant you can talk over. The heated mirror in the bathroom with a light. The better than normal hotel hairdryer. What a wonderful night we spent here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was small but it is an old building. It was quite noisy early on with footsteps and conversation from above very easy to hear, but it settled down early and we slept well. You cannot really expect sound proofing in an old Inn. We will definitely be back.

Came for a family meal recently during the day and the food and service was very good. Would use again for certain when next in the area. Good value home cooked food.

Had dinner hear well presented food good positions very tasty. The staff were very good , the place had a good atmosphere about it. The beer was also very good.

Myself and my husband stayed here for a couple of nights last weekend. Our room was lovely and clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The bathroom was beautiful. The bar had a lovely ambiance and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had the full English breakfast both mornings and it was absolutely delicious!!!! The best breakfast i've ever had on a weekend away. We ate in the restaurant too and the food was delicious. We will definitely return in the summer.
