Came to the hotel and requested a room for a single night, having paid 80 pounds for said single night I thought it was reasonable granted the cosy atmosphere of the downstairs lower bar and locale. However, the room was particularly unimpressive, the shower did not work, and I was unable to properly flush the toilet as my girlfriend was later horrified to discover. Aside from the poor state of the room for the price it is given, the service and bar downstairs was most enjoyable. A good alcoholic selection and friendly talkative staff. Would possibly come again however only for food or drinks.
Me and my friend were booked in for one night at the Diggle Hotel, the hospitality we received was outstanding. We were meant with kindness and generosity. We had dinner during our stay that was homemade and delicious. We also had sandwiches made for us for our hike the next day with some added sausage rolls, it was exactly what we needed. Could not recommend this hotel/pub enough!!
Came across this little gem whilst working on nearby Waterside Cottage on finishing my work for the day tired and hungry I decided to call in and was greeted by Sue the landlady and friendly locals within seated myself close to nice inviting log burner with lovely pint of well kept beer and there gorgeous home made cheese and onion pie i well recommend this place nnKeith WoolstencroftnRoofing Contractor
Called in for some Lunch and a drink ,decided on the Chicken curry with rice and chips, I wasn't disappointed very tasty and a generous amount, and had a pint of ice cold pint of Cruzcampo, absolutely lovely.nSorry I didn't take any pics of my food and drinks.
We were made to feel very welcome here after a hard day of walking in boiling hot sunshine. Had contacted to say we were en route and would they still be serving food. They said they would keep the kitchen open for us. Even when we arrived much mater than anticipated, we were still offered a reduced choice of food which was very well received. As was the excellent Tiger Ruts beer which we followed our meal with! Friendly landlord/landlady and locals. And only 150 yards to our b&b too. All in all was a great end to a great day. Thanks.
