This is the best hotel I have stayed in so far in the UK. I have been travelling all over Europe for eight months in my latest job and this was the nicest, friendliest, most English looking pub/hotel I have stayed in so far. Everything was perfect. Staff, food, beer, location, room, bed, bathroom. And it has a plaque stating the first ever Gardeners Question Time was from here 70 years ago. Factoid for you. Brilliant.

A large public house that also has a hotel facility.
Staff are pleasant and efficient.
We visited for a wake and the function room hired was cosy and away from the main pub bar area.
Good location and with car parking spaces.

Really good value for money, lovely food and nice decor. Staff were helpful and accommodating for the elderly in the group by happily serving a smaller food portion.

A very good local that provides all a pub should. Entertainment at the weekends, a choice of menus and good hand crafted beers, friendly staff and a good atmosphere throughout. A good traditional pub with excellent hotel accommodation. Has meeting and function rooms available so all in all fits a number of requirements.
