I have been to the Cowshed a couple of times before and both times I have had an amazing steak! The Cowshed do some amazing accompaniments with the steaks and the service is great. It is a lovely restaurant, pricey - so I normally only go here for special occasions but it is nice! The steaks I have had there have been cooked perfectly.
Had the tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad and the prawns both starter platters but more than enough for 1 and a rosé. The service was fantastic and the meal was so incredible. The lighting and atmosphere were cozy and lovely. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing steak sauces I tried the blue cheese, the Cowshed, the garlic butter and the bone marrow gravy. They have lava stones so you can cook fillet or sirloin at the table yourself. Waiting staff friendly, approachable and appeared only when we needed them! Highly recommend.
Really friendly staff, quick and efficient service and really well cooked flavoursome meats. The sides to the dishes let the experience down though with over roasted potatoes and bland vegetarian dishes. The music also didn't help the atmosphere if you are trying to make someone feel special then a mix of Heart FM classics and 90's indie probably isn't what many people are after.
Sunday lunch is a platter of beautiful roasted meat to perfection with a selection of rich sides and a gorgeous gravy! In all a amazing treat meal!
Great food with fantastic service! The steak on the stone is a great bit of "theatre" everyone in the restaurant was interested when it came out. A++
They have a delicious steak! Unfortunately last time we went there, the meat was cold in the middle we asked for raw and the steak was quite thick, maybe that’s why. They have unlimited sparking water for £1 and a lovely variety of wine. Check on their website for happy hours promo. Worth it!
I new cowshed did roasts but only just got around to discovering just how good they are!! Great portion size and so tasty.
It's ok but not worth the price you're better off at pasture. The t-rex steak pictured I probably could've finished alone, but that may say more about me than Cowshed.
A lovely and pleasant experience! Cozy, gastropub like atmosphere. Service was very polite and prompt. The food was amazing. A great choice for everyone's taste. I chose pork belly with king prawn. Pork belly was melting in my mouth! So good! My husband chose a steak, which was great as well. I would advice to book before coming as the place filled was fully booked when we came.
