A traditional cozy Cornish pub that is well worth a visit, though I personally prefer it in the non-holiday seasons as it's quieter. The food is good here although at busy times service can suffer a bit. Otherwise I would recommend.

First few times were really good. Then had a staff member tell us my partner's dog was not allowed upstairs. We clarified that it was a guide dog, they replied that the dog was still not allowed up there. We said that they weren't legally allowed to refused. They then asked another staff member. That staff member tried to find a table on the bottom floor (which we had already tried), they finally conceded that the guide dog would be allowed up. Then later another staff member questioned us about the dog. Again we clarified that it was a guide dog. They allowed it but said that it really shouldn't be there because the kitchens are on the top floor. Very disappointing to be repeatedly questioned about it and being made to feel we were doing the wrong thing when all we wanted was a few drinks.

Watched a football match in here, great atmosphere. TV upnice and loud, nice staff. Great chips and good pub fair. Our favourite pub in Padstow.

Lovely pub with a great dining area upstairs overlooking the harbour. The staff were fantastically accommodating and the chef was kind enough to put together a great vegan menu at short notice. Really appreciated, thank you!

Well kept St Austell ales, friendly and efficient staff, great location, good food, generous portions. "Best side salad of the week" according to my wife.
