The food here is absolutely beautiful as well as the surroundings and the staff are pleasant and helpful. The Halloumi starter with the sweet chilly jam was beautifully cooked, the crispy batter wasn't greasy and complimented the Halloumi 's 'squeaky' texture really well. For my main I had the Cajun Chicken Burger and a side of Dirty Fries. This burger hands down is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten! The Cajun chicken wasn't too spicy but certainly had a kick to it, served in a sweet brioche bun which I find is always a good choice for a burger! The dirty fries were yummy too and most definitely can be shared between two hubby and I got one each but we could have shared overall amazing pub, food, staff and surroundings! All the family enjoyed their meals so will definitely return here again!
I had my first English Roast today and I wasn’t let down. The servers were friendly and the owners were very welcoming. My boyfriend and I had two starters wings and cheese - the best I’ve ever had. The Sunday roast was amazing - juicy beef, crispy potatoes, wonderful gravy. We ended the afternoon with desserts - brownies. The brownies were to die for and I’d drive back all the way just for that. Also plus point for their dog, Casper - the biggest, cutest baby.
One word - OUTSTANDING! Honestly, you won’t get better customer service and food in a 100 mile radius. The owner Shane & Georgie are incredibly welcoming, to regulars and even first timers like myself. To top it off, top class food and a very friendly doggo Highly recommend!!
This is a very nice pub. Great food. They have a large garden and plenty of seating. Inside there are plenty of seats and tables along with a large TV and a pool table
Shane and Georgie are great hosts as landlord and lady. Friendly, warm and very fair. The pub was warm and our table very comfortable. The food plentiful, hot and delicious. Thank you we will return.
Great selection of Ales, tap'd beers including a new style IPA, food very tasty and well presented and served by a great front of house team. Look forward to my next visit. Pub has a well maintained pool table and 2 dart boards great for some pub sports. 5*
A gem of a pub in a wonderful setting. Georgie produces lovely grub in the kitchen while Shane makes everyone swoon with his killer looks and bang tidy bod up front. A great pool table too for when you fancy giving him a game. Love it.
Nice pub in a country village. Service was great despite the staff shortages and the remaining members of staff multitasking! Best vege roast in a long time, food hot and very tasty. Will be back!
Recently renovated, friendly and efficient service. I enjoyed a fresh caesar salad, but unfortunately the additional chicken was so tough that I could barely cut it. This wouldn't put me off visiting again as hopefully it was a one off mistake.
Great food, friendly welcoming staff with a lovely country village atmosphere. Will definitely try Sunday Lunch next.
