I came here with my tour group during my stay and the service was fast and efficient. The food was absolutely spectacular and we felt right at home. It was a great choice for us to start our time here in London. The sausage roll was immaculate and the dough they used was great. The chicken leak pie was good with lots of chicken and not too many leeks. Overall a great experience and very accommodating to groups large and small but of course make a reservation before.
Went here for Sunday lunch. It wasn’t very full but the man seating me didn’t seem all too keen to give me a table in a hurry! He also mentioned it would be a wait as lots of orders were going through at once which I appreciated. Once sat we had a lovely time. We ordered a fish and chips as well as the Sunday roast. The fish was excellent and crispy - much better than any other pubs. You could tell it was fresh and not frozen. The Sunday roast was also excellent although the meat was a bit tough. The wine was great too! We had a lovely time and will be coming back
Been to this Pub couple of times now, staffs were very friendly and fun. They served Pub foods that are delicious. I'll definitely go back and to which I did. Back on Sunday, try their Sunday Roast. The presentation is fantastic. Lots of greens and a healthy portion of potatoes. Beef tasted good but couple of pieces a little tough. All that I washed them down with couple glasses of Chocolate Block red wine which recommended by the bartender.
A great pub with a lovely open fire. Staff are just excellent, the new manager is cheery and has a great sense of humour old one was great too Simon, always happy and a joy of positivity when you walk in. Food is delicious, menu changes all the time which I like. Great quiz on Sunday evenings too at 6pm.
Awesome skinny fries and aperol spritz. Quite quiet pub. Not so noisy music, not so much people.
A most delightful pub, just off Kensington High Street. Pleasant bubbly atmosphere.A lovely cold lager in my hand, great! Looks like four cask ales on offer, plenty of beer for everyone. It would seem this used to be the tap room for the Britannia Brewery. There is a good sized restaurant area to the rear and also a first floor bar accessed via a spiral staircase. A lovely comfortable and stylish place for a beer.
Amazing pub. Very cosy with an open fire and a dining room to the rear. We had a few drinks and the charcuterie board, Camembert and mussels from Fowey, a town I love. Would highly recommend.
One of my favourite pubs in the winter! Big high backed armchairs to sink into with a lovely open fire. The food here is great, as is the selection of beers. We have used the dining area on a couple of occasions for reunions and we have always been well looked after. They also have a private room upstairs but I haven't used it so can't review. It's a real proper local pub in a lovely area of London.
Great hospitality and service! They accomodated us even though we ended up with extra 2 adults + 1 dog + 1 baby! Almost every other table had a dog which was brilliant. The food was great fish and chips was massive! and the ambiance very cozy. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
I went yesterday with some friends and the service was great but the food didn't make the cut. We ordered some beef Sunday Roasts and the meat was overcooked and hard to bite, and a vegetarian butternut squash Wellington and when we received it it didn't have any filling inside, it was just a pastry with some mushrooms, and no butternut squash at all, so it was like ordering a pie and receiving it without filling. We were all so disappointed that didn't bother to ask for the dessert menu and went somewhere else for it. Definitely not what we expected, shame as the place and the location are good and we like to go to independent pubs to help small businesses recover post lockdown
