A nice place with plenty of space. Dish was tasty and portions were large. Would definitely go again.
I had an OK fuzz free dinner here. Service was quick and attentive. Food was good but the curry was too sweet for my liking. But the papaya salad was delicious and well balanced. Too bad they don't serve a Thai hot pot.
This is the quieter of the two Suchard restaurants and there's always a table during weekday lunch time. Service is fast and fuss-free. There is an extensive menu of noodles, rice, and curry dishes which are generally quite good. They got my order wrong on my last visit but I didn't kick up much of a fuss because what I got - flat noodles with chilli and black bean sauce and chicken - wasn't too bad.
I phoned up the Suchard on Tooley Street to enquire about getting a delivery. They asked me to call this place who then told me to go online to order. The order arrived promptly but every single dish was very mediocre. I've eaten better Thai food all over London for much more reasonable prices. If you are going to charge £2 more per dish compared to your rivals, the food must be excellent. Every bite was disappointing. But to your credit, it didn't make me sick. Reduce your prices or increase your standards. Otherwise you will perish and you will take your flagship restaurant on Tooley St down with you.
Awful service, bland, too sweet food: Took my overseas visitors to try this places. We waited a long time and no one came to our table to take orders, so we had to go to the counter to place order whilst I saw a waiter went to other tables to take orders. Whilst at counter, I asked old man behind the counter to recommend a dish for me, he said he couldn't recommend and I have to make my own choices then turned around and walked away. Food was nothing like the Thai food in my mind, e.g. The pad Thai was bland and too sweet, my visitors' dishes were too bland too.
This place was poor for lack of a worst word! Couldn't believe the amount of times orders were wrong not mention half of them not even being taken! They also so served a famous Thai "whiskey". I use the word whiskey loosely as it tasted like a watered down bottle of wd40. I would suggest this place is never visited again by anyone, unless you like poor food with a rude attitude.
My favourite Thai restaurant in London for the last 13 years. Try everything, you won't be disappointed.
Great all-round Thai food restaurant. Good selection of drinks and service if friendly.
Service inattentive, food ok but nothing special... I've now been waiting 20 minutes for someone to ask if I want anything else or to bring the bill - shockingly poor service!
More laid back of the 2 stores, delicious Thai food served quickly and at a reasonable price
