Part of the weatherspoons chain. This converted co-op store opened last year 2017. First time I've stayed overnight at a weatherspoons and have say I've missed out! The rooms here are spacious and clean. Tea and coffee facilities in the room too. No noise from bar downstairs either. The pub itself was clean and tidy. Staff helpful and polite. Worth a visit. Worth a stay.

Lovely visit today .had lunch and a catch up with a friend. Nice meal .but I can't stand garden peas.asked if I could have a tiny bit of salad instead. .the answer was No.so fare enough. .I had a side order of coleslaw. 75p.cant moan at that..but a TEASPOON. !!..again this was rectified I got TWO teaspoons. .

Reasonable prices with plenty of seating areas, nice rang of ales to choose from. Was served quick and food didn't take long to come out. Family enjoyed the meal especially desert. Nice that this old building has been refurbished and used in this way.

It was the perfect hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary holiday. Lovely room. Great food. Brilliant staff

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days for our 10th anniversary. It was the perfect place for a much needed holiday. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The extensive menu meant that there were enough vegetarian options that we barely needed to order the same thing twice even though we were there for over a week. Our bedroom was very comfortable and is the only place we have ever stayed where everything that needs replacing actually was regularly replaced without us asking. We didn't want to leave at the end of our holiday and will definitely be back at some point next year.
