Dovercourt Hall Cottage

Jen and Mick are very welcoming. An incredible renovation of their home and attached cottage. They are considerate and thoughtful in supplying a few welcoming treats but have ensured that all the essentials are ready. The cottage is clean and full of character. The wood burning stove is relaxing and comforting. Local to the beach, shops and swimming pool. Great walks and all of the locals were extremely friendly.

Lovely Weekend Break for 50th birthday celebration. Received a warm welcome and the cottage has been lovingly refurbished to a high standard whilst maintaining the historic charm. Well located for visiting the local area and only a couple of miles from Harwich for the "night life" (we'd arranged for a meal at The Pier on Friday evening and a minicab for 5 was £5 each way). We made use of a very well equipped kitchen (admittedly only for breakfast) and then had a lovely barbeque in the apply garden. Sunday was a reasonably leisurely start to the day breakfasting and cleaning up and leaving by 11am, but there wasn't any pressure from our hosts for us to rush off. Would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage, ideal for short breaks or a longer stay to explore the area.

Excellent, well equipped with much thought given to providing a comfortable stay. Plenty of room. Plenty to do and see in local area
