I loved it at this theatre, only a small place but very welcoming and the set fit the stage perfectly, the bar had everything I wanted and the seating area was clean and tidy. Again the stage might only be small but it felt extremely cozy and it was perfect for the performance that I saw, because I didn't miss a beat of what was happening. The only negative that I'd give and it's a tiny negative, is the seating didn't have drink holders, and someone did accidentally kick their empty bottle. I simply had a fun experience at this theatre.
Bar is reasonably prices but isn't a massive selection of drinks available Toilets could have been cleaner as hand was bottles messy by sink and rubbish on floors in toilet. Watched the Easter Panto and the cast were amazing got all the children and adults joined in and although is very basic show but 100% return as is relaxed for the children to enjoy unlike big pantos.
The theatre was easy to get to using public transport bus or tram. We went to matinee performance. Reasonable cost for tickets and excellent performance by amateur ? Actors. Refreshments available before performance and during interval. Only downside is no designated seats, so be early, though this small theatre has excellent views wherever you sit.
Best little theatre. Every time I have been it has been excellent. Last night was adult panto Blow white. Very funny. I have this children's panto The Wizard of Oz in a few weeks with my granddaughters. They prefer this theatre to the big ones as they feel closer to the action and they always throw sweets out for them plus they have always got a picture with the cast after. Drinks are cheap and toilets clean. My nephew has Autism and he is made to feel welcome there. Parking is free street parking but it is inside the clean air Zone. Lots of great places to eat and drink within walking distance.
Great, small theatre. Could sit anywhere for good view. Comfortable seats. Cafe.
First time visit to see Christmas Carol really enjoyed the show felt more envolved due to the size of the theatre the cast where brilliant. Will definitely visit again soon great value for the money.
Great show of the Wizard of Oz. The acting troupe is very impressive with such a small cast. The theatre is ideal for showing shows for the audience interested in the show business productions. Well done to the theatre staff and the actors who provided the show.
The little theatre in the Jewellery Quarter has won my heart. With a diverse calendar of performances, it stands out among the more mainstream options in the city. The affordability of tickets is a refreshing change, and the relaxed vibe makes it a unique and approachable venue. The team's friendliness adds to the charm of the place. While it may not be an extravagant night out demanding formal attire, the thought-provoking performances ensure that you leave with moments to contemplate. This theatre has carved its niche, offering a more accessible and intimate experience for those seeking something beyond the ordinary.
This was my first visit to the Blue Orange Theatre as we were doing a workshop and I found the place quite close by to the tram when we went inside it was very quiet as we had used the studio but it was a lovely visit. The place was really clean and it looked to be quite nice inside despite the many outdated advertisements on the outside making it look almost abandoned.
Had my first visit to this theatre today to watch Sleeping Beauty. The performance was brilliant, the music, lighting and audience participation all added to a great panto. I have to say the singing voices of all the actors was phenomenal - really unexpected and very pleasantly surprised.
