We've been there at the beggining of October 2024.The room was spacious, quiet, elegant but without wardrobes. Excellent bed with 2 types of pillows, one lower and one higher. the pillows. Cakes, coffee, teas were supplemented daily and upon arrival we also found 2 bottles of water in the fridge. There is an refrigerator, hair dryer and iron in the room. Clean rooms, daily cleaned. Elegant bathroom, with optional Eco Boutique products, very good water pressure. Breakfast varied enough, but unchanged for 4 days.Extremely efficient staff at breakfast. There is an Sainsbury in front of the hotel. Distance of about 15 minutes from London Bridge subway and train station. Price too high. Rooms: Light and modern, nice view to the Shard building
If you get one of the rooms on the top floors some of the best views of London available. As south bank is quite low rise you get a great panorama of most of the London landmarks. Only downside is lack of public transport. But there are plenty of ebikes and Boris bikes next to the Hotel. London Bridge isn't that far away but it isn't on your doorstep.
This hotel is a nice experience. It is located close to a lot of bus stops,it serves great breakfast, with good quality products and it’s very clean. Our room was very quiet and they cleaned it every day.We also got biscuits, tea and coffee to the room every day.Also,2 bottles of water and one of orange juice. There is a supermarket right across the hotel and,on Fridays,an Antiques Market. Also, there are some great bakeries, bars and restaurants around where you can enjoy local and international dishes. Another nice surprise was the magazine I found in the room, that I enjoyed reading while sipping my tea. We highly recommend this hotel and we will for sure come back.
It's a cozy hotel, needs some improvements on rooms, I stayed for 1 night and I needed just a decent place to sleep. Breakfast is basic. You don't have too many options, but staff is attentive. Location is great, just 10 min walk from London Bridge Station and prices are OK for London. Rooms: Some areas need painting, but the room does have all the facilities you need. Walkability: 10 min walk from London Bridge Station Food & drinks: There is no bar and restaurant available for lunch and dinner, is just for breakfast service.
The hotel is in a great location, right next to Tower Bridge, walkable to main attractions. However, I didn’t expect the hotel to have such low quality on their services, cleanliness and upkeep in general. We had premium room with absolutely disgusting dirty all scratched wood floors. When we checked in, the floors were so filthy that when you walked, your fit turned black, they were sticky and dirt was sticking to your feet. It was disgusting that it was delivered in such condition, but more than that we asked for the room to get properly mopped, TWICE, and it wasn’t. Maybe they vacuumed at most, but feet and socks were turning black. I took a wet cloth to check when they said they mopped it, it was just as bad. Mattress in a premium room was the cheapest quality spring mattress you can find. You drown in it and when one of you is moving, the other one is waking up. I can’t believe they still have these type of mattresses in the hotel. I would expect it in the cheap motel in the middle of nowhere, but not for the price of this room. Fire alarm with no announcements and not working elevators is another story. We had to walk down and up from 7th and they still didn’t say if it was a real issue or not. Our friends stayed at another cheaper hotel around the corner, much better mattress, cleanliness and services.
Stayed here last night. The hotel looks tired, marks on the walls, stains on the carpets all the furniture marked and damaged. The ac in the room didn’t seem to work properly and couldn’t open the window. The tv didn’t seem to work either, really big delay when changing channels. Overall this is definitely not a 4 star hotel I wouldn’t give it 1 star. Definitely will not stay here again.
The location of the hotel is great, you can walk to Tower Bridge and get around the rest of the city with ease as the hotel is close to bus stops of major bus line. The small square below is pleasant there is an antique market on Thursdays and there is a supermarket across the street useful. Also near the hotel are small restaurants, pubs, and several clubs. Very good room cleanliness, but the room as well as the breakfast room that is close to the entrance and reception are not 4-stars. A good 3-stars is. Breakfast is definitely improvable, little choice and no products of particular quality. Overall the stay went very well and so I recommend this hotel.
The hotel staff were lovely but the hotel rooms are out of date and not well maintained! It seems as if the hotel spends their resources to make the lobby look great but the rooms are left with dirty/unpainted walls! All of the pictures online show the lobby and do not fairly depict the horrible state of the rooms. When I asked the staff about the room they said “ oh yeah, all of the rooms look like that.” I was in shock by this response and would never stay here again because I appreciate cleanliness and maintenance. I cannot stress enough how misleading the photos of the hotel are. I feel like I was “catfished.” My advice would be to find another hotel in the area even if you pay a little more. The Bermondsey does not look or feel like a 4-star hotel. On a positive note, they provide water and cookies everyday and the hotel is close to multiple bus stops, which made navigating London easy. Food & drinks: Great restaurants nearby
Thank you for the detailed explanation. I think we didn’t understand that it was optional, so there was some confusion. Honestly, we thought there was a mandatory fee for the service.Rooms: 4/5
I stay here pretty often as close to my hotel. The breakfast used to be amazing, now still good and better than a lot of the local competition but still has dropped a bit. Rooms are pretty big, if slightly awkwardly laid out. Most rooms have a large working desk that cuts the room in half, beds are ok but linens could be better no flat sheet for example. Location is great, right in Bermondsey so loads of great food, pubs/bars, and a Sainsbury’s right next door. There’s also a small cinema in the same square It’s expensive but compared to the area, It’s a good value. You won’t have a bad stay and you won’t overspend.
