Lovely little pub, open fire and cosy. It was a shame the service and welcome was the polar opposite. 

One word answers from the barmaid, owners had ‘reserved’ the best table next to the fire and there was no atmosphere. A local came in with a dog and clearly just wanted a conversation but the barmaid just walked off. Really poor because the pub is lovely.

Cosy with good food, however a slight weight, understandably for a home run business and if anything a grate sign of freshly prepared food! Although left with only two vegetarian options, curry and cheddar pickle baguette, but no doubt I cannot complain at the taste nor the people!

Service was good and the beer was good but food was absolutely awful. Had the roast beef and the Yorkshire pud was not cooked along with other things.
