The scene is set- A catastrophic falling out had taken place between us (Kingshill Football Club) and our then manager, Mark Hill. Wounded, dazed, and thirsty we sought a new place to rest our weary heads after duel on the field. The chimes of Watermoor Church can be heard at 17:00 on a Saturday afternoon- Our pilgrimage begins from the fields of glory to the famous Cotswold Club. Steeped in rich history, a magnificent suit of arms adorns the stairwell. Rumour has it this request was Julius Caesar's last words- his prized arms to be laid to rest at the Club. A favourite watering hole of his after lengthy sword fights with the ancient inhabitants of the neighbouring village of Chedworth. Alas- Caesar's honour will live on through Kingshill at the sacred Cotswold Club. We will drink the famous Lions blood and pay respect to the sacrifice that he made. Lest we never forget. Cotswold Club is more than a Club, it is a brotherhood.
