A proper pub. Friendly staff and good beer

Love this place. Family run establishment. Rooms are really nice. Friendly and welcoming. Good wine and good food. Easy walking distance from the centre of town which means it's quieter than town centre, more expensive establishments. Loads of parking and really nice area to sit outside. Can't rate it highly enough.

Ale on all pumps tasted like Vinegar. Complaints were initially met with "there's a guy drinking it in the other room and he says it ok". OK, the 17 of us must be wrong then. We ended up drinking a swift half of lager, and then left. Won't be visiting again, I don't suppose they'll notice.
