Should of seen the reviews before going in I’ve been to lots of weatherspoons and normally is great. Guess there is always one …. Came here for lunch and the place was like a ghost town. Massive place. Biggest by far that I’ve been too. Was clean too. No sticky tables. Staff seemed to be busy just chatting to each other. But that’s fine don’t expect them to just stand there. But they didn’t come over once to ask about the food. Now you’re at the NEC so there is plenty of choice. You need to bring customers in. No pizzas as they ran out .. Son’s pasta wasn’t cooked surely it’s not hard to reheat food as im sure it wasn’t fresh. My son asked for some crayons and was turned away quite bluntly. Now I’m sure any place that charges £17 for fish and chips can afford to stock up on the little things. All the rest of the food was dry and over cooked and the presentation matched the flavour and taste. Poor Really big let down as mentioned this is my go to place normally if there is one close Really need to step up guys and sort it out
Eaten here a few times over the years. It's a very limited menu as you'd expect given it's location. Was disappointed to see the burger menu only had vegetarian meat substitutes or chicken. Opted for the chicken and when it arrived it was a very sad looking affair - certainly not worth the £16 I'd spent; burger dripping in sauce and about six inches from it on the plate was a handful of chips. First thing I'd been able to eat all day and didn't touch the sides. Chicken was also DRY. So dry in fact my mouth still feels like it's recovering 24hrs later.
Served stone cold scrambled eggs on so called toast which was actually soggy bread hadn't been anywhere near a toaster. Spoke to waitress who just stared and walked away. No apology, nothing, never even had the courtesy of looking at me. Very poor customer service and disgusting food. Shame on you Weatherspoons!Food: 1/5
After using spoons for many years all around the country this has to be the worst. Half the seats where closed and only two bar staff for serving drinks and taking food orders. Took over ten minutes just to get drinks only to be charged extortionate prices. Definitely a Saturday job attitude from bar staff and management with limited experience or interest. Management didn't seem to care about customer service or the general condition of the front of house. Do your reputation a bit of good, just close the place and concentrate on your other locations. Certainly will not be returning and do not recommend. Rather wait and go to The Dragon in the city.
Luckily not busy so tables were cleanish and food was fast. Felt the food was a bit disappointing in size. Fish was dry. Burger was ok. Limited menu. Good for unlimited hot drinks. Lots of seating.
Really needed a sit down and relax before the train home. Found a table easy enough and it was relaxing but the price at this place was a shocker! £6.25 for a draught cider, compared to £3 in other branches. Food menu also double the regular price and limited. I didn’t stay long.Food: 3/5
The one thing you expect from a Spoons is consistency. No matter where I go they are always the same, except this one. It’s awful. Ridiculously expensive beer and what appeared to be a handful of ropey oven chips, at £4.95 per “portion”. Absolute dog dirt, avoid at all costs.Food: 1/5
Whenever I go to the NEC for an event, this is the go to place to grab a bite to eat. Staff are very polite and friendly, food comes quickly and the atmosphere has always been welcoming. A friend of mine lost a bag while attending an event, and this spoons was so helpful by keeping the bag safe for us to come and pick up! We were greeted at the door by a lovely member of staff who introduced herself as Li, and she truly was our hero that night. My friend’s things were safe and I look forward to coming back next time I’m at the NEC!
Food was awful compared to other Wetherspoons I’ve been to, poorly cooked and small portions in comparison. Had a vegan breakfast which was served with non-vegan butter. Staff are rude. Not worth your money. Vegetarian options: Don’t seem to understand what a vegan is.
The one we went to was not the Atrium one it was near the Resorts World end. Well what can I say, luke warm chips, overcooked paninis and £4.90 for a bowl of a dozen chips, luke warm. Wished I had walked on by! Never again. Just have a drink there, eat elsewhere.Food: 1/5
