Story

On Tuesday 26th January 2016 Adam's re-opens of the winter holiday in it's new permanent home of Waterloo Street.

The British Michelin Starred 36 seater restaurant located in Birmingham city centre is run by Chef patron Adam Stokes and his wife Natasha. In addition to the main restaurant which seats tables of up to 10 guests an adjacent 16 seater dining room is available for private functions. For that extra special experience there is also a chef's table located in the kitchen for exclusive use or individual groups.

A la carte and tasting menus are served alongside a three course lunch menu available 12noon to 2pm, Tuesday to Friday. Please note the tasting menu is the only dining option available on a Saturday evening.

The modern food is a blend of tradition marriages with inventive twists. The restaurant marries classical elegance with friendly professional service.

Went with a friend for dinner. We pretty much ordered everything: tasting menu, additional courses, and two selections of wine pairing. Food was great of course, and the waiter has sufficient knowledge for the wine which was undoubtedly a pleasant experience. However I probably expected more creativity in the dishes. Being a foodie who tend to try nice and different cuisines globally, I personally think there was a lack of wow factor. It was definitely worth trying but I don’t feel the urge to go back, especially with the price I paid.

I was fortunate enough to be taken here for my birthday for the tasting menu. It was simply great. Although I felt the drinks were quite expensive, perhaps this is normal for other Michelin star restaurants, we are definitely hoping to return. The taster menu was so much more than what we expected, in terms for flavours and experiences. We still tell every one about Adam's whenever we mention amazing food. The staff were helpful without being intrusive, very attentive. Thanks to all at Adams for making our visit so special.

Have been lucky enough to have eaten at many of Europe's finest restaurants. If you want to indulge in a true fine dining experience this is the place to go within the West Midlands. Lovely comfortable restaurant interior and layout. Excellent professional and helpful service throughout. Food stunning both cosmetically and most important in taste, texture, composition, variety and accuracy of cooking. Ingredients well sourced. Wine list has it all from approx £20 per bottle up to the most splendid range of Bordeaux, Burgundy’s Champagnes and Australian wines that I have seen assembled outside of the capital. Some of which are available by the glass using modern technology to extract the wine from the bottle while at its very best. Overall a top experience unrivalled in Birmingham and ideal if you want to push the boat out. Ideal for a romantic dining experience as well as as a group. Deserving of two Michelin stars.

The most amazing meal I've had to date. My friend and I went for her birthday and we received an incredible service from the moment we arrived until the time we walked out the door. Attention to detail was first class and all the little touches did not go unnoticed. Food was exquisite and every course was bursting with well thought out and exciting flavours. I would not hesitate to recommend everyone to come and experience this restaurant for themselves!

We arrived at 12 when they started service as lunch finishes at 2pm. We had the fixed price lunch menu with two friends. Excellent service once we got a menu from.them, we were clearly expected to order cocktails... The chef's extras were amazing. We drank an English wine, which was the cheapest at £27. Overall it's not cheap, but excellent service. Mostly business clients there.
