Story

This multiple award winning Asha’s opened in Birmingham in December 2006.

The restaurant is located on Newhall Street in the financial district, five minutes walk from the busy city centre shopping area.

The restaurant offers a large bar area with a comfortable bar lounge that can seat upto 40 guests. There are three meeting rooms and a large private dining room that can seat upto 16 guests.An ideal venue for private parties and corporate events.

All our chefs are hand-picked from renowned 5 star hotels from India and they are all trained at the Asha’s Dubai which is the pilot restaurant prior to working in Asha’s UK.

Asha’s infamous happy hour between 5-7 seven days a week is very popular among all professionals in the Colmore District.

Delicious food and pleasant ambience. Good portion sizes. The staff are friendly and polite. Not quite buggy or wheelchair friendly 4-5 steps at the entrance although they do have highchairs for little eaters. Drinks are amazing and quite stunning too. Special mention for their roomali roti, which is superb! Not many places offer this, but Asha's did not disappoint! Vegetarian options: Their bhindi and Daal makhni were excellent!
Christmas Day 2023 was amazing, so happy that we chose Asha’s! The atmosphere was buzzing, the demographic was so diverse and everyone seemed really happy. Cocktails at the bar to start followed by delicious starter and main. There was so much food we had to take half of it home. First time but will definitely be back, what a treat! Thank you so much for looking after us and for being so wonderful!
Great dishes, nice staff. Perfect for a celebration. The Lobster is legendary. They really pride themselves on their cocktails, and they don’t disappoint. I’ve been going for 10 years and it never fails to deliver.
Amazing food! Amazing staff! Amazing atmosphere! Overall an amazing experience! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and helpful when it came to the menu. Our waiter in particular was extremely helpful and recommended some items on the menu. The food was delicious and the service was quick. Recommend the chicken biryani. They also have a lot on their menu which gives it a homely kind of vibe. Cocktails as well! They have various selection of cocktails and they all sounded amazing. Just so expensive haha. I love the fact they have pictures on the walls of each celebrity that has visited, even the King! And also each celebrity has their own favourite meal. It’s a nice touch to the place. A lot of awards as well, which is great! You can also have your own room for a bigger party think 10+ which is a nice idea for birthdays, etc. Definitely going back to this restaurant as the food and staff were amazing. Highly recommend date night here. Expensive but worth it, value and quality was up there.
Wanted to eat here for 2 reasons: i love Asha Bhosle, and my wife and i had many wonderful meals in the Asha's in Dubai. This didn't disappoint. Great tasting food, unashamedly spicy, and very decent portion sizes. Wonderful cocktails too. The 4 for the atmosphere is only because it can get quite loud in here:Food: 5/5
Great food if you like a rich flavor and decent portions, we had a late lunch after a game of VR. The service was excellent, food arrived hot and tasted perfect. As always the roomalli roti is one of my favorites.
This restaurant is just up the hill from New St station and the excellent Wellington pub. Ideal for a visit from out of town like mine from Manchester. We were served by Nidhi who was a delight to deal with. The food is expensive; with a couple of bottles of wine our bill came to £80 each but worth it for a treat. Recommended dishes are the fish amritsari starter and the chicken tikka main course.

Asha’s used to be the best Indian restaurant in Birmingham, however the quality of the food has deteriorated whilst prices have skyrocketed. No longer worth the money for me. I recommend the lamb chops and the daal makhni but I was underwhelmed by the tandoori chicken and lamb curry. Probably better alternatives for half the price in Birmingham.
