Nice little guest house, my room was quite small, but as a solo traveller this is normal, and it was only somewhere to sleep. Otherwise the room was fine, comfy bed and basic tea/ coffee facilities. Breakfast was extra, but well worth it, especially if you like a really good full English! The hosts were lovely, pleasant and helpful, great place to stay.
First time in whitby for a break. Joules and John and your team thank you for a wonderful stay. Your such lovely people nothing too much trouble. Your guest house is beautiful welcoming & spotlessly clean throughout. We didn't want for anything. Rooms where topped up daily with tea coffee milk fresh cups and towels. Bed and bed linen was clean and comfy. Bathroom again spotlessly clean good shower and size. Breakfast had variety loved your full English tasty hot and cooked to perfection. Would absolutely recommend the chiltern, short walking distance to whitby shops ect. Any questions about wheres good to go for lunch dinner just ask they know good local knowledge. Booked to come back. Can't wait to see you both again soon. Best wishes always Tracey & Amanda
A lovely B & B , lovely clean rooms , we were in the attic room which was up 4 flights of stairs so be aware, to be fair the owners did warn us beforehand and offered us the chance to change it, breakfast was lovely and gave us a good start to the day, close to the Harbour and a few nice pubs around.Rooms: 5/5
We have booked again for next year, brilliant room, excellent breakfast, John and Jules excellent hosts and couldn't have made our stay any better.Rooms: 5/5
Loft room 2/3rd little head room no instructions to use appliances oven .. told room because of height NO SKY TV ONLY BASIC CHANNELS poor wifi .. was offered throughout the year other sites with promotions of up to 40% because committed to chiltern didnt change definitely not worth over £550, could have had cottages with all above £350+
From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely and clean. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was lovely. The owner and staff were very helpful and nothing was too much for them. There is plenty of street parking once you purchase a permit. We will certainly be visiting again.

We stayed in the chiltern apartments , such lovely apartments , done to a high spec , very roomy and lovely , Jools & Jonny are such hard working people they made us feel so very welcome , would definitely stay again! Lovely people!! Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Whitby from Sydney Australia. The accommodation was great. The owners were lovely. The breakfast was delicious! If I come back to Whitby I'll definitely stay here again!Rooms: 5/5
