Room very nice,comfortable bed,recently redecorated.lots of hot water,walk in shower view of Whitby out the window in the room beautiful. Breakfast buffet very good, evening meal good choices. Entertainment every night also a quiz and bingo. Very good bar.seating areas good inside and out. plus parking.

Hotel clean and mainly decorated well throughout (we had masking tape around the bedroom window and a small damp spot on the ceiling and wall). Evening food good, just not lots of it. Not a lot available for breakfast either! (Lots of cereal, it just took ages to bring hot buffet food out which meant waiting or going without what you want). No-one in the hotel seemed to have hot water Saturday evening either (didn't like my tepid shower). Staff friendly enough and decent location.

Room and en-suite basic, spacious and clean. Bring your own shower gel and biscuits as these not provided. Good breakfast. Website doesn't make clear that restaurant only open in evening if u part of organised coach trip.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. some say it's a little dated but it is an old hotel and is always clean and comfortable. Recommended

This hotel in Whitby is situated up high looking over cliff top out to sea but within walking distance of town if u can do slopes. Hotel room was lovely but heating not great even in the whole of the hotel 24hrs a day it was lukewarm so take cardigans and jumpers but in summer it would be fine. Food was ok we have had much better at other Bay hotels not a great selection on buffet breakfast you even have to ask for scramble eggs as they only did fried on buffet but all other hotels did two as standard. One bar shuts early which we found odd but all in all its an ok place just don't expect too much.
