This is one of my favourite pubs in London!nPerfect spot for a Sunday roast with amazing atmosphere and friendly staff.nI personally ordered Porchetta roast and it was delicious, one of my favourite ever tried in London. My friend ordered the lamb roast and apparently it was perfectly cooked, it melted in their mouths which is how it's supposed to be.nThe place is very busy so sometimes the service is a bit slow, but there is room for improvement. Everyone that served us was super friendly.
The sticky toffee pudding was very disappointing. It lacked flavour and depth. The sauce was limited and watery. The portion was tiny. Its overpriced.nnThe chocolate mousse was decent but the chocolate was not bitter enough.nnThe flat white was really nice however.nnOverall I would say to not come here for dessert. The roast looks good but did not try it.
Our 2nd dinner in this pretty Georgian building gastro pub. Friendly service, nice dinner menu with good-quality offering. The dry-aged bavette was tasty if a bit too salty.nnWe did not have a reservation but were able to be seated immediately when it was for food.
When I say I haven't enjoyed a meal out like this in a Long Time - truly, I mean it. Ridiculously good food. Great portion size. Delicious and full wine list. Took a work friend from the US here to show them a trad. Islington pub haunt, and the atmosphere was perfect. We had a quiet, cosy little table in the corner for four, and it felt so special! Thankyou so much.
Got the sticky toffee pudding coz some said it was the best one they had in London. We paid 9 pounds only to have a really small portion of the pudding with so little sauce. Disappointing
